Definitely going to be interesting to see what their total sales will be. A LOT of people hated KCD1's combat system, and that's going to potentially hurt them too.
Mordhau created an amazing first person Medieval combat system and it's inspired no one else because seemingly everyone has to stoop to Journo levels of difficulty. Even Mount and Blade is better than KC. They placed too much importance on accurate HEMA animations rather than the actual enjoyment of gameplay.
KCD is accurate, but accurate isn't fun.
Example: fighting a well armored enemy with a sword.
Most of what you do is poke at them with it and use the point to shove them around while doing minor blunt damage because swords are poor against armor.
So you jostle and shove and poke and it's dull and takes forever.
(Use a mace or hammer; you'll find it works so much better)
It's realistic, but it's boring.
Say what you will about Skyrim, but the animations for fighting and finishers with all weapons look pretty cool and much more interesting.
Only a purist wants to ALWAYS exhaust and bruise the opponent until he stumbles, then use a armor-piercing dagger to go for the vitals while he's pinned.
Don't get me wrong, it should be a legitimate strategy, but so should "superhuman" dexterous, accurate strikes against vulnerable points instead if you've built your character for it.
KCD doesn't give you the choice. It's grubby super realistic combat or nothing.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.
If you can.
