Yeah, most people are done with ****** protagonists and it shows.

You assume they wanted them to begin with. If there is no market for something then there is no audience. People who work in the Western entertainment industry are some of the most ******** people on Earth. They honestly believed that liberal women, homosexuals and ******** were a viable alternative as an audience compared to the "problematic" straight white men who made the industry what it is. It is just now with the money running out that they are realizing that they need these white straight male gamers in order to survive and put food on the table.

I definitely didn't assume they wanted them at all. My point was that most people tolerated them for a while, but that time is over. People have ****** fatigue now. They've never wanted it, but it was pushed in their faces from everywhere. Now even the normies are no longer tolerating it because they see it's coming from a place of hate.

Yeah I believe that "tolerated them" is the correct phrase to use here, since even if the average gamer didn't cared for ****** ******* in video games I reckon the regular reaction was "meh" or something like that since it was only few and far in-between at first.
