yep and so was WOTR and hate that I had to mod that **** out. I can't stand the decades now where people modded that **** into games and nobody cared, but now people flip if I don't want Astarion to try to choke me with his **** just because I didn't murder him when we first met. ******* step back, or if you show any interest in magic to Gale he is suddenly ready to butt **** you to death. WTF? And good there are mods to stop that. I hate not being able to go "Ahhh the third installment to one of the favored games of yester-year" and "get it" from both ends. I can't stop the ******* homo and enjoy the illithad raid on our reality and how I stop it cause if I do enjoy that part of the game where you are talking to sentient mushrooms and destroying a dark cult religion, NO, your playing woke garbage. I just want to be able to enjoy the game for the great parts that I like and yes, I totally agree it is flooded with ******/gay/woke/reddit writing but did have an epic story of saving interdimensional refugees that just want to find a ******* home while dealing with the real problems (RACISIM, NO shut the **** up and go away ***) which are housing, logistics of travel, food, are the kids all right, is that a ******* demon disguised as a cow, are the druids trying to secretly sacrifice us to the dark side, etc. Anyway dude there is so much more to the game than just "it is/isn't woke/trad garbage" ok. And I do want to see those sides and give them credit. I give Dark Messiah a passing grade. It was fun *** kicking, new mechanic of the day heavy jank that didn't hammer out the controls well enough to be a legendary game but was still a rush to play. Fallout is Fallout, I didn't even know there was a thieves guild in the game until the last time I played it. FO76 had NPCs. Maybe not NPCs put there by the devs at first, but you look at the average "person" and tell me that is NOT an NPC.

and pay for massive advantage/win mechanics isn't a MMO I want to play and if someone else wants to and like it, good for them.

Better pay-to-win than pay-to-lose, I say. However, I recall it costs money to play it as well, so I considered that a hard dealbreaker and didn't touch.

I'm also uninterested in joining games late after all the good **** has been nerfed, leaving the original crowd with an entrenched advantage you'll never match.

The entire game is the TES V: Skyrim quest A Night to Remember set to a dystopian eurotrash world ending setting. There is one scene that if you find/take the only weapon/gun in the game you can opt to shoot them. The game plays as "an RPG" (think like "an Hero" from old 4-chan, look it up if you need more ref) from the minds of a controlling reddit forum post where there is just enough stability to be cohesive but not enough to make sense. Enough freedom of choice to get you interested but curated to the point your interest in the undiscovered burns like coals instead of a roaring fire. This is the ultimate edge experience between RPG and adventure game. Had there been a decent and simple level progression, enemies, and a dungeon/field area with better world story then, 'Hey, I got drunk and high last night and can't remember my own ******* name and the world is falling apart, literally.', which oddly enough sounds like what I would do if the world was falling apart literally thank you very much. So is it "an RPG" yes (pull the trigger), but is it a RPG? No. It is to artsy fartsy of a story at times and the story takes economics to heavily at times when it really needs to just stop and look around at what is happening in the world instead. But I wouldn't look at a USSR Russian flick from the perspective of a die hard capitalist (which I am not) and call it crap just because they make a jabs at capitalism where ever they can. There is still all the other parts and they might be **** too, but they might not be **** either. It is why Clair Obscura: Expedition 33 even had a chance at being moderately successful in so much that if I took you to a corporate run pig farm and then took you to a cattle lot you would think it (the cattle lot) smell nice. I won't digress anymore but, Disco Elysium is worth a play if you can get it for a reduced price like 14.99 or something but don't pay anymore, and that is the price from someone that actually likes the game because Kim is cool. Now you could ask around and people would help you acquire it. I don't remember any of the current places though.

Hope you use loregamer/orinesques/silver or whomever can't remember them all mod and get the woke be gone and enjoy all of that is good and there, go get a pirated copy so you can even say you didn't support that **** too. Just find out if there were parts you really did like. Or if you just clammed up for some reason.
