It will not be higher than $70. The money is in the microtransactions that add up over time, not the one time box purchase. The higher the box purchase price, the more people will be gatekept and the fewer potential people who might spend $10 each month for years on end.

Yeah most 80 bucks games on Steam are mainly singleplayer experiences, so that checks out

Still can't believe Dynasty Warriors had the gall to pull that pricetag. Is the franchise more popular than I believe or did they shoot themselves in the foot? :pipe-thinking:

Hold on. They are selling $80 games now? I thought that it was only just recently that they tried pushing up to $70 and it caused a lot of backlash like with FF7 Rebirth?

There was some pushback that made some devs pull their prices from 80 back down to 70, off the top of my head I can think of Outer Worlds 2 and Borderlands 4, but it is slowly being normalized. Also didn't hear about that FF7 Rebirth backlash, interesting :pipe-thinking:
And I'm not even talking Nintendo, the corpas you can count on to spearhead the charge:

Why are the prices in some made up currency? I'm not manually converting all this **** into $.

They've always priced it at standard price, I vote 70 and wished I could vote 80 too due to recent trends as I can't pick between both.

There's no sense on raising the bar high, even if it's GTA, when they'll make 99% (hyperbolic I know, but yall get me) off microtransactions and other crap. Among other arguments I've discussed with friends before this is the most logical imo.

You know the business! About Nintendo... well it's Nintendo, they are weird like that.

Why does the poll use Euros if the poller is an American?
Is it possible to learn these moves?

This thread should be considered a Rule 6 violation, currency is a form of language, or something.

Depends on geopolitical developments and whenever it actually releases.
Couldn't care less about it though.

I think it'll be a hundred bucks personally because I know Rockstar could get away with it and it'd be a good way to normalize hundred dollar games because normie cattle pedestalize Rockstar.

It's especially bad compared to San Andreas, which was mechanically/systems-wise peak GTA.

I agree with this but think it'll be the reason it's $80 instead of even higher
