Okay.Val the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ May 9th, 2026, 01:31It will not be higher than $70. The money is in the microtransactions that add up over time, not the one time box purchase. The higher the box purchase price, the more people will be gatekept and the fewer potential people who might spend $10 each month for years on end.
Yeah most 80 bucks games on Steam are mainly singleplayer experiences, so that checks outVal the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ May 9th, 2026, 01:31It will not be higher than $70. Hold on. They are selling $80 games now? I thought that it was only just recently that they tried pushing up to $70 and it caused a lot of backlash like with FF7 Rebirth?Valter wrote: ↑ May 9th, 2026, 01:47Yeah most 80 bucks games on Steam are mainly singleplayer experiences, so that checks outVal the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ May 9th, 2026, 01:31It will not be higher than $70. Still can't believe Dynasty Warriors had the gall to pull that pricetag. Is the franchise more popular than I believe or did they shoot themselves in the foot?![]()
There was some pushback that made some devs pull their prices from 80 back down to 70, off the top of my head I can think of Outer Worlds 2 and Borderlands 4, but it is slowly being normalized. Also didn't hear about that FF7 Rebirth backlash, interestingVal the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ May 9th, 2026, 01:48Hold on. They are selling $80 games now? I agree with this but think it'll be the reason it's $80 instead of even higherVal the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ May 9th, 2026, 01:31It will not be higher than $70.
