Company makes pirate game.
Hires leftist foids as consultants.
Company wants to make splash screen promo to attract players.
No doubt consultants suggest putting these front and center, Company does, forgetting the paying demographic.

Every ******* artwork and model looks like a fisher price toy from the 2000s. Imaginext, but female. Its like the edgelord peering under his brow with a shaggy viking beard was too edgy, so every artist overcorrected in the wrong direction.

That's a myth. I've got plenty of stories about how I got along with Quebecers despite not knowing (or showing that I know) a lick of French.

Interesting to hear, but I've seen a lot of vitriol flung at Quebec for what their government does and the general attitude towards other parts of Canada. From what I gather, Quebec wanted it's independence but stayed because of free gibs and preferential treatment from the federal government.

quebec people don't speak english despite living in an english country therefore they should all be genocided

I don't mean "haha they have a funny accent"
most of them cannot speak it at anything beyond very basic comprehension of common words

Also, the McDonald's there in the 90s sold "All Canadian Meals" instead of "All American Meals", which is just stupid.

Makes sense to me. They're in Canada, so they sell Canadian meals. What's stupid about that?

Objectively correct. Quebec takes money from the rest of Canada and contributes nothing of value.
Of course, that's true for everything outside of Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia, and in that order.
All the other provinces are irrelevant, economically. And most in most other ways, tbh.

It was so well received that Mimimi Games is now shutting down, a clear indication of a successful product.

Their target demographic (read: the 2k people who reviewed it in the three months it's been out and game journalists) seems to like it. The negative reviews mention it's repetitive and rather short for the pricetag.

I bet they fell into the typical woke trap: Overinvestment into a niche product, pandering to MoDeRn AuDiEnCes and finding that their potential customer base is a lot smaller than they thought it would be.

The reason it's so well reviews on steam and in Journo rags is because people who didn't like it knew so in advance and consequently didn't buy or review it. Thus they were spared any significant negative blowback as a result. Unfortunately the price for that was that those people also didn't buy the game in the first place. Too bad, so sad.

Their previous game, Shadow Tactics, has nearly 30,000 reviews on Steam. There's obviously a decent market for Commando-likes, and Mimimi were the only developers making such games.

The downfall of Shadow Gambit is clearly down to the game itself, since it failed to make a profit in a niche where there was basically no other competition, and I guarantee you plastering an ugly ****** woman front and center hurt their sales in no small part.

The woke audience is nonexistent. This has been proven time and again, across three decades, with every medium you can imagine, yet companies still push this ****.

Not only that, but it has the same number of reviews as the DLC for Shadow Tactics.

The real tragedy in all this was that their original plans were to make a Commando-like set in ancient Rome. Instead we got this ESG slop.

I'm not sure if this is true considering all of the raving reviews that BG3 got from SJWs. The ******* seem to vastly outnumber the normal people on the Steam forum too.

I think you are referring to a Quebec law that requires the French signs to be twice as large in Quebec. They don't label stop signs with "arret" in Alberta (Canadian Texas).

True, but people who like pirates also like to LARP as pirates so I don't think it's as profitable as ninjas.

This is a straight up mockery, they must really hate their customers to include loading screens in a season pass. I would be ashamed of my purchase if I saw something like this in a product I bought. Where is it from?

It took 4 Western developers to **** out this digital tragey.
Bad Robot Games is a video game studio founded by (((J.J. Abrams))), serving as a division of Bad Robot Productions.[1] They created the art direction, monster design, and sound design for the interactive streaming series Silent Hill: Ascension.
Behaviour Interactive is a Canandian game developer based in Montréal, known for creating Dead by Daylight and Deathgarden. They were the studio behind Dead by Daylight: Chapter XVI - Silent Hill, a crossover with Dead by Daylight in which Heather Mason (following the events of Silent Hill 3) is summoned to an alternate realm and confronts her survivor's guilt through Pyramid Head.
DJ2 Entertainment is a film and television company specializing in the production of video game adaptations.[1] Their filmography includes Sonic the Hedgehog and upcoming media based on Little Nightmares, Tomb Raider. and It Takes Two.[2] They were attached to Silent Hill: Ascension, until creative lead Stephan Bugaj began working for Genvid Technologies on the project directly.
Genvid Technologies is a media company specializing in massively interactive live events (MILEs), seeking to amalgamate the experience of broadcast television with the interactivity of video games.[1] In 2022, they developed The Walking Dead: Last Mile, a part game/part television series in which players interacted with the characters in a real time world through mini-games that built up "influence points" as currency to impact the course of the story.
