I agree with them to a certain extent: I care about animals (chicken, pork and beef are delicious when roasted), I care about plants (vegetables make great side dishes). You're misinterpreting that graph, when leftists choose 14 this means that they care about things from 1 to 14.
More importantly, they're just lying. Modern leftism imposes performative Hindu-style panentheism (cf. Gregz), but they never act like you would act if it were really true. They just want to feel like they care about everything because they've been taught that it's right to do so.

I care about chickens more than libtards.
I mean that both ways.

While this explains it somewhat, it's still a bizarre way to gather and present this data. Instead of a heatmap it could have been a simple XY graph of the distribution of votes. It doesn't matter where the participants clicked as long as it was within the same ring. I get it that they wanted to get the point across that numbers further up the scale also encompass everything below them.

I looked up the study: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-019-12227-0
Those are all people with serious credentials.

Also I don't agree that this study shows anything that "they have more empathy for a rock than they do for their fellow countryman" as one user said. If anything this shows that the scope of leftard empathy is much broader and rightoids morality only extends to their immediate surroundings, even below "people in your country", they don't care about their fellow countryman.

I genuinely believe this psychological phenomenon should be studied since it borderline reminds me of psychopathy.
Leftists are genuine psychopaths, they have more empathy for a rock than they do for their fellow countryman.

I think that it is important to add note that was before voting:

The question is which things do you care about right and wrong things done towards them. Leftists choosing 14 are claiming that they have deep thoughts and moral consternation about what happens to E.coli bacteria when they cook meat. They are concerned about the ethical and moral way in which they chew their salad leaves. It is obviously a profound derangement and objectively a lie. A lie that reveals the miasma that clouds all of their decision making and judgement which should disqualify them from any role that requires decision-making.

What a hilarious take.

Leftists show they care more about a brown rapist than a White child, simply because the brown rapist is the "other".

Both the study and IRL behavior of leftists align, it's only you and the **** lover that are pretending otherwise, likely because you are ***** and the study hits a tad too close to home.

It's obvious that liberals are either mentally ill or biologically defective. They are the only group of people in the history of humanity that prefers the out-group to the in-group. Cultures in the past likely had mechanism in place to recognize those suffering from the derangement and cull them.

Your insanity is obvious when you're attempting to condemn people for caring about their family first. Just how ****** up in the head are you?

Waaaahhh!!!!!

Your $70 doesn't buy you cruelty. - Mark Darrah (Dragon Age executive producer)

"You don't have to like a game, and you don't have stay quiet if you have complaints. You're entitled to be angry, and you're entitled to express that anger. If you are mad at that Ubisoft game, be mad at Ubisoft. Express your anger to Ubisoft or the studio that made the game. But you cross a line when you start being cruel about it."

"When you celebrate layoffs at a studio because the game that you don't like didn't do that well, you're crossing a line into being cruel, and fundamentally, you should have more grace for other human beings, but if you're not buying that, let's go on to point two: you don't know what caused the results you don't like."

"Express your opinion to the company that made your game. Tell them what you like, tell them what you don't like. Be specific. It will help you get games that are more like what you want. But when you are personally attacking individual devs, you are crossing a line, and you're probably attacking the wrong person anyway."
Huh. This guy's name is familiar. Oh I see, he's in the credits of some of my favorite games ever! :bounce:
And the first time in my life that I see his mug, he's crying on youtube about Mean Gamers... Was he always this gay? :groan:
Mark Darrah was the guy who first ruined Dragon Age. Dan Tudge was the project director of Origins and he quit near the end of development. Darrah inherited it and was repsonsible for all the changes in direction that happened with II and Inquisition.

I do agree with the ******, though. Blaming people like him is like blaming a rat for existing. They can't help but behave in accordance with their parasitic nature.

There was someone above him at BioWare that greenlit his ******** instead of telling him to go **** himself. Leftists only get to spread their **** because people in power allow them to do it, and then proceed to shield them from the consequences of their actions.

But the actual study is badly designed: Let's assume I care about animal welfare but I don't care about humans outside my own; where would I put my mark? If I put it to mammals I would indicate I care about other countries, which would be false. If I made my mark at "All people in your country" (even here I would need qualifiers) then this would indicate that I don't care about harm done to animals and so it would also be false.

This system is overly simplistic and not fit to actually measure what it claims to measure.

Edit: And why is this in the "****** gamedevs being fired" thread anyway?

I think you a) are extremely insecure, b) misunderstood what the study means and what it's goals were. I predict you have a submissive, weak facial features, are afraid of maintaining eye contact, and would avoid conflict in an IRL argument about this, preferring to yield out of fear, and replay it later in your head in a way that in your estimation would make you win.

You basically proved the study - liberals empathize more with a rock than they do with members of their own family.

You're trying to interpret it as saying that liberals are more empathic, better than the "rightoids", more morally just, when in truth you're all mentally ill.

We also explained to participants that these categories were non-overlapping such that giving to one category (e.g., extended family) would not include an inclusive category (e.g., immediate family).
I shall repeat myself - liberals are mentally ill vermin that care more about rocks than they do about their families.

This is some strange ********.

Article says this:
We also explained to participants that these categories were non-overlapping such that giving to one category (e.g., extended family) would not include an inclusive category (e.g., immediate family).
But Supplementary Note 4 says:
Please click on a number that depicts the extent of your moral circle. Note that in this scale, the number you select includes the numbers below it as well. So, if you select 10 (all mammals), you are also including numbers 1-9 (up to 'all people on all continents') in your moral circle
This contradicts each other. Something wrong with this.
