A mod that completely removes both Viconia and Sarevok from the game would be even better than having to watch the bastardization of their characters, and that's coming from a dude who didn't even play BG2 and most likely never will xD

Really happy to see another modder join us. Thanks for the uploads!

If you want, you should check out the Adobe Enhance Speech AI if you're using a voice model from an old game. I'm messing around with it for @Lancaster's mods, can check out the difference here:

I found out there's a tool for enhancing audio from Adobe. Thinking it could be cool for some of these voice mods

I'm going to upload all the Viconia lines to the Adobe enhance speech tool and send you the wav files if that's cool. Still getting used to the tool and just figured out how to get it the files to mass download since Adobe retardedly didn't add a Download All button.

Here's how the difference will sound:

Ah, I've done the adobe enhanced with Viconia already, but appreciate it nonetheless, then added spectrum match via audacity on the 1.1 Ver.

Good, now we can have a real voice actor for Minsc instead of Matthew Mercer.

What's wrong with BG2?
I despise isometric perspective games, especially if they have outdated graphics as well...

*** adjacent.

He's the go-to voice actor for many games now, especially rpgs. He's also the DM for the Critical Role web series with other voice actors. And his games never have any stakes. Fail a roll? Don't worry, he'll make sure something conveniently happens so it doesn't matter.

I think it's dumb they didn't bring Jim Cummings back for Minsc. He's still a working voice actor.

Not sure if this is the reason, but I recall asking myself the same question and found Cummings has been accused of something to do with violence on women or something like that. Not sure how true it is, especially with all the "victims" crying wolf, but I would not be surprised if that is the reason he was not picked seeing how full of woke Baldur's Gate 3 ended up being.
Quick search found some typical Reddit poison-posting but this is what Brave AI says
(...)One significant factor is that Cummings had serious health conditions at the time, which made it difficult for him to take on the role. Additionally, there were allegations of abuse against Cummings, though he was later cleared of these allegations. However, the timing and the nature of these controversies may have influenced Larian Studios’ decision to choose a different voice actor. Ultimately, Matthew Mercer was selected to voice Minsc in Baldur’s Gate 3(...)
Also, not sure if I am remembering wrong, but wasn't Minsc Cummings' own player character added to the game in Baldur's Gate 1?

You're half-right. He was the PC of one of the devs, not Cummings.
Minsc was the roleplaying character of Cameron Tofer years before being part of the story of Baldur's Gate. In fact, many of the characters from the Baldur's Gate video game featured in a real pen-and-paper campaign run by James Ohlen.[56][57][58] This original version of Minsc was a mul from the city-state of Gulg,[57] in a Dark Sun campaign where Toril was the pre-cataclysm state of the desert world of Athas and Gulg was situated on where the nation of Rashemen used to be.[58]
