I have a bit of trouble understanding the old white seaman but he is an ex-alcoholic.
After the turkish looking guy (who seems to be of peruvian decent), who is the cook wants to show how a fish is prepared which the incompetent white professor is unable to do even on the third take. Jonah is also one of the most reliable characters, while that is also not very feminist it is very "diverse" he is the "gentle giant" archetype.

So I finished Tomb raider now and surprisingly I do not have much to add to the list above;

The ship technician (the white guy who is depicted as incompetent and creepy in the scene before) dies a most ******** sacrifice death (he went alone to get tools from the ship they crashed on) and got stuck under a pipe and tells lara to go as it is supposedly hopeless.

The tools in question are a monkey wrench and a screwdriver btw, which is utterly ********, but I digress.

The group that survives all this are 1 black woman, 1 Asian woman, 1 british woman (Lara) and 1 peruvian guy which sounds very DEI to me, this is imho definitely targetting exactly that just contained in a good game and in it's infancy. I don't really remember the sequel, I will come to that in due time but for now that is all there is.

What is you guys opinion? Looking at the first post the pro-feminist content is very prevalent, imho, in the first third of the game then basically stops. In fact most Storybuilding is done in that part while most of the game is pure gameplay. I understand why people think it does not contain woke stuff, it does but it has basically no bearing on the gameplay and is very subtle towards the end.

I find the reboot Tomb Raider survivor trilogy boring as ****. Removing everything that made the OG series remotely interesting and the bastardizing of Lara Craft to a generic female action hero. Only sliver lining is she isn’t a girl boss **** which we see all
media released nowadays.

Highly recommend playing the reboot Tomb Raider legend trilogy since it’s a good middle ground of modernization some of the clunky mechanics/ gameplay but keeping the core character aspects from the original games by core design.

More importantly, the games need to be made uniformly nogless and then it needs to be clear that Barret is wearing blackface makeup like Kirk from Tropical Thunder.

In seriousness, there's not much hope of modding these games in the same way Baldur's Gate 3 can be modded. You can edit or replace models/ textures, but that's it, really, and even that is a pain. I remember @loregamer saying he'd never do any modding on Unreal Engine again.

Huh, I first heard about this game in 2018 or so and was following it until 2021 when they suddenly stopped giving updates, the company website went down, no information on it was available anywhere.

It looks like they decided to release about 6 months ago.

It looked like it would be a Commandos style game, but at the time I thought they said no combat. I'll be surprised if that's changed.
