As they should. I'll admit that I did play the prequel and the first game along with the one with the asian but they did exactly what everyone did not want. A new Life is Strange with the Protagonist of the first game but looking completely different and also excluding the character that is most important next to her.

Most likely true. And the feed did mention they were "subcontractors", so, it's not so much firing as people finished their part of the job and had to leave. Still, the more things like that happen, the more real bad guys are exposed.
