That is okay, gamepass is full of unsellable slop it's basically subsidized by a state-like entity now with gamepass takes a bit longer but if they also take a chunk of Microshit with them then I'm all for it.1998 wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 09:45It can't fail that hard, its basically Game Pass fodder. It's not the 'same' body model, it's a rather standard practice for character creation in 3D games with customizable characters. You create a base mesh with the topology needed to support both genders for the first gender(usually male), then without adding any more topology you turn the topology to the other gender and save it as a blend shape. Ta-da, you can now share a single skeleton between both male and female, and skin armor/clothing to the same mesh, blend shapes mean it Just Werks.Faceless_Sentinel wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 10:11Faceless_Sentinel wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 05:56Face it, @rusty_shackleford, muricans happily consume gender bulshit, it norm to them. This applies for things like fantasy races, too, unless there's too much of a difference between them.
e.g., it's likely why gnomes & dwarves share a skeleton separate from the standard humanoid types
[edit]
And I haven't looked at BG3 model data at all, so this is entirely an educated guess, but almost all games with customizable characters do it this way.

Explain why people ignore wokeness in character creator! And no, "old fantasy games" made separated models for each race or species, we didn't have negroes with elven ears as a elven race! ******* WoW classic in 2004 had different models for each race! Even though the skeletons of the models were the same, the models were visually distinctly different!rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 10:16It's not the 'same' body model, it's a rather standard practice for character creation in 3D games with customizable characters. Yes this is correct. Tieflings use the same body too. But what I'm referring to is how basically every studio does it. Some don't have a single unimodel and have separate male/female or separate models for races that differ enough(BG3 likely did this because of all the cinematics), but the concept is still the same.
It's like taking a ball of clay and shaping it into a box, then shaping it into a sphere without adding any new clay. It's technically the same clay.

Wokeness not hidden in BG3 in third act, it is in a first act and it is pretty on the nose, right from character creator to negro-druids and negro-tifliengs! A white male human fighter.
Yet they chose to ignore that, make the default a black woman, and add ridiculous things like penis sliders.
What do you want me to say beyond the people making these games hate their playerbase?

Most people don't care about it unless it's put right infront of their face. If you want me to say Bioware of 2024 sucks, yeah?Faceless_Sentinel wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 14:22
2009 bioware did much better job to hide this and human easily distinguishable from elf than 2024 bioware and larian in bg3!
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Do you understand that this statement is false, right? Negro-asian-tiflings, Negro-asian-elves and negro-druids, pronounce, bodytype all this is not a small amount of wokeness it is pretty big, obvious, visible part that can't be ignored if against it.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 02:5780% of the pozz is in the part of the game 10% played.wndrbr wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 02:56It doesn't matter what happened to BG3 mid development. What matters is that the release version of the game was extremely pozzed, and despite that it sold really well and had a very good word of mouth among gamers.

You proving @Roguey and @wndrbr right by this statement!rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 14:33Most people don't care about it unless it's put right infront of their face. So unless they're forced to play with or as a negro elf, they just don't care.
wndrbr wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 01:13Roguey is right. The woke **** is not flopping because it's woke, but rather because it's **** (from technical standpoint). BG3 sold gangbusters, Deadname sold OK and would've even broke even and brought in some profit if it was made in three years instead of seven. Woke games sell well as long as they are somewhat competently made and have decent production values.
"Get woke go broke", "blackrock is closing DEI initiatives", "the pendulum swings back" - all of this is fake news. The zoophilia ****** gaysex is here to stay.

Really all you need to know about upcoming games. If a company has done woke **** before, there's really not going back. They'll most likely double down on it.Rand wrote: ↑ November 25th, 2024, 00:25That asexual **** **** in Obsidian's The Outer Worlds was the dictionary definition of cringe and gay.
Funny story about this Tim Cain revealed in one of his videos was that originally the writers had made every companion except Vicar Max (who was written by Boyarsky) and the robot a rugmunching and cocksucking homosexual and Cain played the gay card and told them to cut that **** out, they could only have one gay companion. Parvati was the lucky one.Tenshi wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 15:17Really all you need to know about upcoming games. If a company has done woke **** before, there's really not going back. Previously in Deadfire, Josh Sawyer made it clear that he did not care at all about romances but he'd leave it up to the individual writers what kind of romance arc if any their characters would have. Of course all the romance options ended up bi and the two writers who refused to participate (Fenstermaker and Sawyer) wrote straight characters (Eder and Pallegina).
