Elves must not have beards, no exceptions. And ugly porous skin.
The first thing I noticed was elves and tieflings having ****** skincare, which is blatant nonsense. Larian be ******** on players playing "generic" humans - all while making every race except for githyanki looking generic as ****. Elves and tieflings aren't ******* humans. Elves are Feywild's creation and are suppose to be a race representing perfection, grace and otherworldly beauty (beauty, not the "in the eye of the beholder" one, have you ******* seen a beholder, Larian?), traits that are always mentioned in why humans are so keen to mass produce half-elves. Same with tieflings. If seductive and clever cambions are a product of a human and a demon (ugly Abyss monsters), why the **** tieflings (human + Nine Hells fiend) look like ******* that dumped a dollar store paint on them and said "eh, it'll do"? They even added aftershave acne for the tiefling race of all other races for unknown reasons.
Yes, I'll never stop bitching about beards, hairy bodies and aging, too. Grandpas trying to self-insert harder than a young fanfiction writer.
Edit: Changeling race on Cuckxus is an abomination and does not represent what I wrote about "otherworldly beauty", just in case. Somebody nuke the author if you can, please.
Let the record show I just hate ******* and minorities I'm not a huge nerd like these users.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

If it's an consolation to you: before Wizards of the Swamp ****** with the lore most changelings were the offspring of humans mating (almost always unknowingly) with doppelgangers. Those are monstrosities with absolutely no relation to the feywild.

Isn't it great how Wizards is taking such good care of the franchise.

Oh yeah I think I remember. The changelings were another thing that originated from Eberron afaik as well, and thus was another thing that WotC extirpated and slapped into Forgotten Realms as if it had always been there.

Found a woman with a (dead) husband, an Elven one as well....here is how she looks:

Now why am I suspecting that her husband killed himself?

ah yes.....

No happy normal relationships allowed in Baldurs gate....but all the deviant ones are just epitomes of love and devotion.....

Isn't it quite interesting bordering on tragically comic/funny (if one says such things in English) that creatures that are described as "unearthly beautiful" and those that otherwise are distinct from humans in the end all look like humans? As far as I know this is also the case for 5e itself, so it is wrong to solely blame Larian for this.
Those who claim they are advocates for "diversity and inclusion" have actually managed to kick out demi-humans as we know them and substituted them with humans with long ears or real-life dwarves with massive disproportions. But at least most of them are "ethnic" in some way and or/alphabetists, so "diversity" still exists; in some morbid fashion.
This is one of the many reasons I prefer 3.5 over 5e as well; it is clear in the racial descriptions in 3.5 that there ARE differences between the races (look at the skull drawings, for example).

It's called the rubber forehead effect in television. There I can excuse it because even the most brilliant make-up artist to walk the earth has to obey some limitations.

Games, however, are supposed to be free of those and now they're being re-imposed by our so called "elite".

tieflings aren't ******* humans.
They are, thoughever. When Tieflings were introduced in AD&D2e, they were meant to look no different from humans, for the most part, but have a hint of hell in them. It was subtle but noticeable enough to make them seem uncanny and off-putting to others. Of course, sometimes it wasn't subtle at all, and some tieflings had horns, tail, scaly skin, fiery eyes and even hooves. Tieflings weren't all meant to look blatantly demonic like they do in modern D&D.

D&D elves are ugly, chinky looking manlet aliens.

"No two tieflings are the same" honestly sounds pretty awesome, but I guess it would be difficult to make tiefling figurines and videogame models if they were all unique, so modern tabletop made them all look the same. πŸ˜”

I'm aware of earlier tieflings. Not earlier elves though. But I was talking about later editions where monsters and player races alike got their cosmetic glowup.

They still have those chinky and weird faces in 5e books, but not all artists draw them like that.

Guys, I am about to start playing Baldur's Gate 3 for real, now that the last patch landed.

The mod description says I have to disable the CCreator. What is that, and how do I do that?

I placed the mods in the mod folder but when I run the game, the only 'visible' mod seems to be Sir Aylin's beard. The rest are invisible.

@BannedForBeingSane, if you playing in english, then follow instructions from "instal"l tab and forget about CCreator part of mod. Use BG3 Mod Manager , not larian mod manager.

Yes Ignore Larian's mod manager completely. And just follow the instructions in the install.

I ended up using the BG3 Mod Manager the community made. I am still at the nautiloid, so I have no idea if the mods are working. However, a mod which let me increase my party size (which was supported by the game's own new mod manager) is working, as well as a Nexus Mod which lets me create custom companions.

The No Alphabet mods were inactive when I ran the Mod Manager of the community, so I activated them. The game runs, but I have yet to see if it works. So far from this website I have installed the No Alphabet pack (no CCreator) and the Better Romance.

@orinEsque , what will be the first sign in the campaign that the No Alphabet mod is working? The first change in the game?

Edit: Ah, ****. I didn't install the mod fixer. Do I have to start a new game? I just reached Shadowheart.

You'll find some "adventurers" trying to intimidate you into not entering a tomb/temple. The female mage its carrying a love letter from her lesbian gf. It should now be a letter from a man. Quelenna i think is the mages name πŸ€”
