Quick question: Did anyone hear any news about when they're finally done patching stuff into the game? Since orinEsque's definitive version of the mod depends on the devs finally being done of the game I really hope they'll be done tinkering with it soon.

Also, side note: I've heard that the ****** Wizards of the Coast were apparently a nightmare to work with for Larian, particularly when it became clear that the game would be more popular than anticipated.

That would explain why they've killed any discussion about a possible DLC or sequel or anything like that. Apparently Larian are now focused on finishing whatever they want done with BG3 and some new project.

Probably an original IP to capitalize on their current high profile? I guess if that one doesn't have **** shoved into it we can assume the problem was mostly WotC.
That's a big cope. All the woke **** is on Larian. They're proud of it. It's not the same company anymore. The 40 man dev team in Ghent that made the Divinity games is just small component of the larger Larian corporation of today. Majority of Larian devs are now woke zoomers straight of college who like modern fantasy and would find old Divinity games "problematic". The core dev team is still at Larian, which is why BG3 turned out okay somehow, but they probably have one or two decent games left in them before the company implodes from within after woke zoomers and gay americans wrestle control from the old guard.

Original Sin II ended the series pretty conclusively.
Not at all, DOS2 takes place before Divinity 2.
Ugh, I got my timeline mixed up? Sorry.

The point relating to sequelitis still stands though. The series was good, it is complete, so let it rest already.

It's not like the core concept is that original anyway, they can easily make something similar but as a standalone or new series.

If they made the game without borrowing, there's a slight chance they may focus on story instead of lecturing. But they've already hired ****** writers. So i think they're dead inside now.
It is just strange to me to see this type of self-persuasion from a person, who was reading, finding, posting and discussing how "new" Larian workers are awful degenerates, perverts and they intentionally show how awful they are in Baldur's Gate 3 topic in RPG subforum.
And what part of my post made you think i was saying anything different?
Nothing, I mean self-persuasion from @SoLong, he was in this discussions, he knows who working in modern day larian, he saw what they put on their socials and still hopes their next game won't be woke. This is strange.

Faceless_Sentinel doesn't know how quoting works. He was referring to my post and was too lazy to not include you in the quote.

Hey! @Faceless_Sentinel ! If you don't want to include someone in the conversation you either quote the original post directly, edit the quote (you can delete [quote=orinEsque and the stuff after that), learn how to structure your sentence so it's not a confusing mess or use an @! There are four ways not to **** up, you literally have no excuse.

There's a certain irony to the situation: someone likes to criticize game devs for their abominable writing despite being unable to string together a coherent sentence himself.
Poor little boy still butthurting that his acceptance of LGBT ideology in sword and sorcery being mocked? So butthurt that he decided to nitpick on the way I construct responses and use tags?

Don't cry, little baby, there is some present for you: LGBT Conan the barbarian!

MEET: SHE IS CONAN!

https://bleedingfool.com/movies-tv-film ... ming-film/
Is the cinematic world ready for a gender-swapped, ***** fantasy take on Robert E. Howard‘s infamous Conan The Barbarian?

In the new teaser for She Is Conann, avant-garde auteur Bertrand Mandico reimagines fiction’s most famous barbarian. The mind-bending, century-spanning, ***** fantasy epic will be released in theaters in the United States on February 2. The classic roots of Conan (or Conann) are seen in the new trailer for Mandico’s re-envisioning of the Conan mythos; orphaned and enslaved by the barbarian queen Sanja (Julia Riedler) at a young age, she becomes the toughest and most cunning warrior of her bygone era.

However, the trailer quickly departs from the story familiar to pulp magazine and comic-book fans; we are soon introduced to multiple Conanns, from various points in her life and across time, all played by different actors, including Claire Duburcq, Christa Théret, Sandra Parfait, and Françoise Brion.

Rainer (Elina Löwensohn), a humanoid hellhound, is her guide through the past, future, and present. She Is Connan is a mind-bending examination of time and regret shot primarily on 35mm black-and-white film on a shoestring budget. It is director Mandico’s third feature film, following 2017’s The Wild Boys and 2021’s After Blue.

The film’s inspiration is of course Conan the Barbarian, created by pulp writer Robert E. Howard in 1931, a powerful yet clever renegade living in Earth’s remote Hyborian Age. The character became a cultural phenomenon in the 1970s as a result of a highly popular Marvel Comics series, and he made his big film debut in 1982, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in a star-making role.

Conan the Destroyer, a 1984 sequel, and a slew of imitators followed; for a while, multiplexes and video rental businesses were ruled by musclebound, sword-wielding barbarian warriors. The film was remade in 2011 with Jason Momoa in the lead role, and Schwarzenegger has expressed interest in reprising the role. She Is Conann isn’t Conan’s first opposite gender counterpart; Red Sonja, a Howard-derived character from the comics, had her own film in 1985, starring Brigitte Nielsen as the titular heroine. A long-awaited remake starring Matilda Lutz is set to hit theaters later this year.

She Is Conann had its North American debut at Fantastic Fest last year, where it earned favorable reviews from critics, getting a 91% “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It was nominated for the ***** Palm before going on to play at other festivals including Locarno, and is described as an acid-trip transgressive riff on the Conan the Barbarian myth. Now the film is set to be widely released in the US on February 2, 2024.

Maybe instead you could convince other people to drop their support for this nonsense? Tell me, which of these two arguments do you think they'd find more convincing?

"There should be no combat wheelchairs in DnD because it's immoral and demonic!" OR "There should be no combat wheelchairs in DnD because they make the game objectively worse!"

I’m incredibly thankful for this mod and its optional additions. My girlfriend and I have thoroughly enjoyed our adventures in this world, finding it more immersive and relatable. It’s a must-have for classic RPG players who appreciate good storytelling without unnecessary "modern" political elements.

And to think bg1 and 2 was suitable for 12 year olds. What has the world come to? :(

Welcome! Its great to see the ******** seethe promoting this site even now.

And I'm glad it helped you and you friend :). There's mods for other games and more bg3 mods on here too check out modhq.org.
Thank you again, really.

When I finished my blind play-through, I was disappointed because I had made a conscious decision to never take any worms and the game never recognised that power-sacrifice I made without knowing. I'm happy that I did and I'd never change my choice. I found it so weird that Larian did not think having half your teammates being fully opposed to injecting what literally infected you, would not have a roleplayer not take them, even if he really likes PC power like me.

Nothing like a mind-flayer injection for the Good Paladin of Law, Order & Nature... After I finished the game and checked on the Internet what they were about, I was flabbergasted. Here's to you releasing the final version of your mod when Larian patches the game in September (will they allow your mod?), so I can do my Good Githyanki Cleric of Selune Dark Urge run for which I'm still unspoiled about.

"Funny" how them including all kinds of paraphilias and deviancy -as defined by the DSM even- is just fine, but God forbid a mod that limits all of these.

Donated 50$ to you. Thank you very much for making this mod! Its hard to overestimate what a torture it was to play trough this game as a "good" character. It was concentrated, vomit inducing propaganda. There are several studies that show that most men (women less so but also) are disgusted by (especially) male homosexuality. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2292426/ and https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10. ... 17.1328459? and that said disgust is largely genetic and can only be dulled but not "fixed". Hence "homophobia" (I prefer the term homoaversion) is inborn, making forcing it onto the normal 95% like forcing eating feces on us. There are some people that are attracted to feces, they want representation, does this mean the vast majority of mankind who are disgusted by it must be forced to endure watching their acts and think about it?

I did far more enjoy my second playthrough, now I never before did play evil chars, but this time I gladly did so, God did after all burn the famous two cities to the ground and I seriously doubt they were as twisted as the city of Baldurs gate is (I counted 60% of the relationships that were mentioned in it to be some sort of deviant and the few hetero ones were usually unhappy and abusive, one wonders where all the children came from. And I didnt even notice all of them, especially the ******.)
Im glad that I can now replay it as a good char without feeling disgusted.

I did find about you from Archs video about your mod being censored.

As for "LGBTQAFAG+++ people" existing in medieval societies.....here are some examples of how they "existed"

"15th century Florence was the San Francisco of Renaissance Italy. Its pederasty subculture was so out of hand that the Uffiziali di Notte (Officers of the Night) court was formed to prosecute sodomites. St. Bernardino of Siena described the sodomites thus during 1424-1427: “the ‘wild pigs’ had special meeting places at special times of the night, and congregated at taverns, pastry shops and barber shops (barbers often acted as pimps).”(7, 8) Some of the locations where boys could be picked included Borgo Santo Apostolo, Calimala Francesca, and Il Tetto de’Pisani.(7, 8) Some sodomites were able to avoid arrest by running away after they were warned by some of their friends that the authorities were looking for them.(7, 8) Three-fourths of the men arrested in Florence between 1478-1483 in the age range 19-70 years were unmarried, and some of these men were arrested repeatedly.(9) Among men who voluntary turned themselves in to take advantage of an initial immunity provision, 81% were unmarried.(9)

About a thousand sodomites were prosecuted in Venice during the 14th- and 15th-centuries. In 15th century Venice, a homosexual subculture centered around “apothecary shops; schools of gymnastics, singing, music, dance, and the abacus; pastry shops; and certain dark areas.”(10, 11) Venetian authorities even sealed the porch of Santa Maria Mater Domini in 1488 to prevent sodomites from gathering there.(7, 8)"

"London sodomites started frequenting several bog-houses from the late 17th century onward. Then, a path across Moorfield Gardens in London was known as “the Sodomites’ Walk,” a place where sodomites gathered to pick-up partners.(12) Amsterdam authorities arrested several sodomites in public toilets built under several bridges throughout the city in the 1760s; the sodomites referred to their favorite toilets with names such as “The Old Lady” or “The Long Lady.”

So an accurate depiction of "representation" would be for the player meeting some "LGBTQAFAG+++ people" frequenting public toilets and latrines. Where you could either deliver them to the authorities for some torture and execution (see Franz Schmidts diary for how sodomy was punished).

Thanks again and sorry for the bad English.

Indeed. The "butbut gays and crossdressers have always existed!" Argument is stupid, as yes they did exist, but they weren't tolerated and open about it.
This mod even leaves a few alone, that aren't overtly broadcasting it.

Well at least there are decent mod sites like based mods. Imagine morale ground standing about pronouns when you have the most coomer **** you ever bear witness that would make black bible ******* tame in comparison on nexus.

I appreciate the hard work you put into it and I hope to to achieve the same quality of mod making as you.
Looking forward to it  . What games you planning to mod?

Only problem with based mods is that its an archive for completed mods. They'll take the first upload and the supposed final version. They won't take repeated updates as is needed for a big mod like this one. And its also not a good platform for user feedback. Which is why this place has been a godsend for based modding.

Looking forward to it  . What games you planning to mod?

Only one game which is Pathfinder: WOTR . I hope to make authentic portrait mod for that gives important NPC’s their own hand crafted portrait art( non AI.) It’s always annoyed me how so few portraits there are.( Owlcat reasons why there weren’t many are understandable at first glance but looking at the size of the studio and general budget for there games I find the explanation odd.)

Aiming to cost 10k (most likely going to be 20k) in total adding around 30+ new portraits covering main quest ,mythic quest and secondary quest . Guessing the portraits being $300 to $1000 range each depending on the details of the characters portrait with a background included since commissioned art for that type of quality would be on the higher end side.

Quality wise I would like the portraits to look like this while being in line with original Owlcat aesthetic design for the game as best as possible which the picture reference below does a good job doing.

And here is Owlcat official art portrait for Pathfinder: WOTR in comparison

Also need to get supplement materials, comics, graphic novels in getting a general reference point for the characters which makes things a lot easier then starting from scratch. Probably need some help from online community’s who are very knowledgeable in lore details ( I know an ok amount but nothing extensive)to keep things consistent both in game and TTRPG.

I would also want to get familiar with the modding since I’m very much a novice in that area it doesn’t help from what I heard Pathfinder: WOTR it’s really difficult to mod due to its spaghetti coding

Then the hardest part is getting the artist. Twitter is ok in getting artists but it’s really a crapshoot ( a lot anime girls not surprising) I heard good things about art-station for professional illustrators. ( but I have a strong feeling is going to be lot more costly then I would like)

One of the official artist from Owlcat did commission work for a mod in pathfinder so that’s a possible route.

It’s all in the preliminary planning stage right now since the most important step is gathering the funds and a quote on the rough total cost for such a project which will take a while (two years if I’m being optimistic.)

Honestly I hopping that Owlcat will have some surprise announcement of adding more portraits in an update but that’s very unlikely.

I heard that the archiving process is absolutely abysmal but it seem that there only half decent alternative Nexus site out there.

You're going to spend 10,000 dollars on making portait mod by hiring artists? Never thought I'd see someone willing to spend that much on a mod.

Yeah if you ever need help with Pathfinder lore I may be able to give some aid. Despite the unapologetically woke nature of the Golarion setting, I always saw good untapped potential in this fantasy world.

I seen the mod however my goal isn’t to change the art to be historically accurate but to capture the original art aesthetics for Pathfinder: WOTR.

This is sad, I don't like gender ideology in pathfinder. I hope you change your mind in future or at least try to make your mod compatible with wokeless one.

I actively despise identity/ gender politics however there are two responses why I don’t want to change the art.

One for reasons mentioned earlier is that it goes against the original source material. I’m a strong proponent of adhering to lore even ones I dislike. From what I seen in the source material for WOTR Owlcat version is pretty faithful to adaptation for the AP and wasn’t them pushing there own ideology…..Mostly.

Second reason is just more pragmatic which is cost. Commission art isn’t cheap and the quality I’m looking for is going to be expensive. Right now I have a rough idea it costing me 10k minimum and 20 max,However to make it authentic within the time period would mean redoing half or more of existing protraits raising cost by double ( 50k maybe more)which I can’t justify putting so much money in out of my own pocket.( this it ultimately a passion project and I not doing it to make money)

Rest assured I will go out of my way to make the added portraits look great.Lucky the WOTR AP that came out in 2013 didn’t have woke **** that infested modern media so the art available is good reference point.

Since your mod will be mainly a portrait mod, then I believe it wouldn't be that hard to make it compatible with Wokeless Wrath.

I will keep that mind.Going to definitely need help in getting references even from other media because surprisingly Pathfinder doesn’t have a lot art for it notable figures, was so used to D&D having and endless amount of art assets both officially and unofficially.

Unfortunately I probably going to Reddit as well even though I actively hate that cesspool of a site ,its pathfinder subreddit is to good of a resource to pass up.

Yes. Honestly surprised no one else attempt something similar. The issue I have with portrait mod on sites on nexus is that a lot of it is AI and generic that lacks detail or clashes with the original game art.

Very much. Now I understand why Owlcat made so little. The biggest problem I foresee is getting reference point. Sadly a lot of characters in WOTR have little to go by even including supplemental material I have start from scratch.

Very good idea. Truncating in parts would insure proper feedback in making sure the art is heading to right direction or needs improvement.

Half of these are from the Pathfinder games and half are from a random AI portrait pack. I strongly, STRONGLY believe you shouldn't spend tens of thousands of dollars on this project.

Well you're not likely to get a return on your investment other than personal satisfaction. And your work can be co-opted by the IP owners anytime. And you will get nothing for it.

EDIT: Please Larian, co-opt No Alphabets.
