I simply believe they are a lesser evil in comparison to what is currently here in the west.
By having all the things we currently have here in the west but with no White people?
I do at least know that the Chinese really dislike blacks since Disney is always hiding their lame ****** protagonists on the posters they put there in one way or another. Understandable prejudice against nigs is something we could use more of here, I think.
The japs hate them too, all Asians do, and yet we are getting a ******-Samurai

Finally something to kick the **** out of an RTX 4090. Will get it this weekend.

**** game journalists literally cowering in fear of Wukong's crushing dominance and won't put their names on their own reviews:

https://screenrant.com/black-myth-wukong-review/\

While my analysis and review of Black Myth: Wukong remain focused on gameplay, it's important to mention the controversies surrounding the game's studio and the reports of misogyny and sexism from developers. Playing as a female gamer allowed me to notice issues surrounding inclusion and representation.

As far as Chapters 1 and 2, while characters are clearly fictitious and fantastical creatures, there were no female or feminine NPCs, enemies, or bosses present. The only exception, if you can call it 'female', is a boss named Mother of Stones in Chapter 2, which is nothing more than a still, glowing rock with no abilities, being guarded by other enemies.

The lack of diversity and inclusivity resonates with the misogynistic comments reported to have been made by developers, which expressed disdain for women playing their games. Although Black Myth: Wukong does have truly enjoyable moments, the underlying feeling that women aren't welcome in this world felt present throughout my gameplay experience.

It's worth noting the game is based on the novel, Journey To The West, which does consist of a few important female characters. To not include any women or to only include a few in an adaptation meant for a modern audience is quite disconcerting.

Editor's note: The author's name has been removed for their safety.

Journos deserve to be culturally enriched by the people they endlessly pander to.

Also, Screenrant's reviews are always hot garbage. The only good thing their entire **** brand has associated with them are Pitch Meetings.

Makes me somewhat sad to see how hard it has become for a game to just be a game. Truly hope this year will be the fall of this inclusivity ****, though the news I have seen around here make me hopeful

Things are not superior just because they are new dear rusty. If that was the case then your website would look very different I bet.

Personally I'll take a well executed paint by numbers picture over the post-modern slop that is so ubiquitous today.

People need to remember that a game, build by professionals who learned from earlier efforts, can be as great if not greater as the next new thing. This obsession with novelty needs to die already.

There is a reason why so many soulslike games still ended up good: the were built on a solid foundation by people who actually knew what they were doing.

The thing is, our countries could be making these games and bringing in that revenue to our own economies...
But that's not possible in Europe due to the 'Civil Rights' Laws set in place and built upon into the current USSR shithole laws we have now.
Instead our countries are being made poorer and poorer through every means that the ***** can assemble, and this sort of thing is just another way to make China richer.

What would be better is if it was n Ubisoft open world + the journey to the west characters were a diverse band of 20 somethings trying to pay their student loans. They should be led by a sassy fat black woman with a man face and skin disease. No white males

Do people that like souls-like like the combat style or is it something else that draws them in? I can notice the similarities in a few (3rd person over the shoulder combat, dodging, strategies, parrying, etc, often paired with a "bleak" or somber setting), but they all seem to have their own twists to it that I can't really tell in the end, especially with the likes of Elden Ring, which seems like an open world from what I've seen. I would have called these games "action adventures" myself, what sets them apart from the rest?

I think it has a lot to do about timing. DS1 came out at a pretty good time, gaming was booming, socials all up, easier to carry that meme/souls-like moniker. To me they are also all just random action or action/adventure games. But now by calling them souls-like you automatically sell +XX% copies

Thank you  It is fascinating stuff to see, I never really think of games as a business, it honestly leaves a bad taste in my mouth to think of "products" when it comes to things such as books, games and music
