Their other new game, Mother of All Secrets, got officially abandoned. Promising! :(
What a shame, but atleast a new Brante game is coming. first one was great.
Also, would be very interesting to play an Arknian.

First game has a very interesting setting and well written, I enjoyed it a lot. Definitely not an RPG, closer to something like a digital gamebook.
I'll be keeping an eye on this.

When are we going to have an official RPGHQ ranking list for RPGs rated by the members?

Any suggestions about the best way to go about it? Maybe take one post from each member about their top 3, 5 or 10 and assign points to each?

A poll that contains every single rpg ever made, with only 1 vote available to each user.

Looks fantastic honestly, really high quality stuff if he could manage to make the whole game look that good.

Yeah, the green might be softer on the eyes at night, which is thematic.

I think Dark Corners of the Earth tells you the game should be played in a dark room.

I suppose each one of his games are going to get progressively more primitive until you're just playing with a few white dots on a black screen?.

Funny you should quote a fr*nchie. Regardless that quote doesn't apply to an artistic medium like video games, sure in the earliest days of the medium a few dots on the screen is the best you could hope for, but now that designers have a limitless canvass with which to paint masterpieces with, we should expect more than that.

Missing the spirit of the quote entirely, both of you, but I believe @Acrux was joking, you have no such excuse for your retardation.
What the frenchie ****** meant with it is that perfection comes when only what works remains. This only means that any element that detracts from the experience must go.
You still get to use all them tools and elements designers have an abundance of, you have to know when its too much.

Its about being wise with what you use to paint your picture, not about miserly or minimalistic.

Well from an artistic standpoint, the quote is nonsensical. What usually detracts from an artistic piece is the absence of something, there really is no such thing as a "bloated" painting unless the artist himself is poor and paints a confusing image. The quote really can only be applied to software and other non-artistic works. If we're arguing that a literal game about white dots on a black screen is acceptable, well, you might like to visit a modern art museum.

Pong would like a word with you.

In one sense, you are correct because he is talking about design rather than art.

But on the other hand, if your takeaway is what you think that's what I or Lynn or Msr. du French were saying then you truly are ********.

I'm not ********, you're just being a clown. But no you're right, let's not strive for higher levels of art and aesthetic beauty, and let's just stick with Pong because as this "enlightened" frenchman (lol) says, "Shits only good if you can't strip anything else off yo!". Which to any reasonable person (i.e not a jackass) means "do just enough to get by". I don't know what sort of mental gymnastics you have to do to read that as anything else, but okay. I'll humor you this one time.

If his Mohammedan RPG turned out to be a financial failure I doubt he would have a reason to make another game, especially in the same genre.

Pss...I actually work in design, so I know exactly what the quote means - and it's NOT what you seem to think it means. At all.

You're talking out of your unwiped ***, ******. Nobody has to work in design to know what that asinine quote supposedly, "truly means!". And if you work in design, I suppose I should hold you responsible for creating the globohomo art style. After all, you couldn't possibly remove anything else from such an artistic style, so it must be perfect!. It's just enough right, just enough to be whatever it needs to be. This random fr*nch ******** would be proud.
