Dragon Age Origins : Small MMO style action bar, with 14 abilities
You can drag the bar out to the end of the screen
Reinstalled the game just to take this screenshot.
Pardon the lack of the back of the head on my character. It was a modded haircut from the previous run with like two dozen mods installed.
You can have 40 quickslots if you're playing in 1920x1080 resolution.
Also, I know I haven't played the game in a while, but this is ridiculous.
Not only they don't care, they revel in it, and their bosses tell them to make really bad content, because the guys with the money investing want really bad content for propaganda purposes (shitlibs, ****, etc).
The thing is is that it is not even good propaganda.
I'd say it's good propaganda considering it's purpose: demoralizing the enemy (non-shitlibs, gentiles).

Christ, now I feel old. I can't believe DA:O is at least 54 years old already!
Would love to be able to give DA:O another run. Only ever did one playthrough of it and Awakening.
DAO might pop up for the Junior Adventurer's Guild sometime.
Sadly, I struggle to find the time to fit anything in but I think DA:O would certainly be a good addition to the Junior Adventurer's Guild.
I think I only played a demo of DA2 and didn't like it. Tried Inquisition in the last year or two and just couldn't get into it. I take it neither of these are recommended?
Being a mage in NWN1 = F1~F12 + CTRL F1~F12 + Shift F1~F12 totalizing 36 spells, each one with its spell slot
Dragon Age Origins : Small MMO style action bar, with 14 abilities
Dragon age 2 + Inquisition = 10 Ability action bar
Dragon age Veilguard = 3 abilities and minute long cooldown on it

Yeah, DA2 is pretty ****. DAI is **** AND full of progressive faggotry.
DA2 was maybe 10, but DAI was limited to 8, wasn't it?
DA2 had a lot more than 10. It also had a slot bar the length of the screen.
DAI does have an 8 slot limit.
I don't have DA2 or DAI installed (and I'm not gonna bother pirating either of them just for this post), but here are the screenshots from the random nexusmods mods.

And there is NWN2 with the Giga-Chad [Quickcast] menu at just a single key type away.

I will remain the optimist. The propaganda would be good demoralizing propaganda if there wasn't alternatives for people. There is a backlog of great entertainment that will last people for decades. A lot of younger people are playing older games and watching shows and movies made decades ago. There is also alternative media being made in East Asia that seems to be mostly (but not always) free of the ******** here in the West. Unless Larry "King of the *****" Fink and the elites were to forbid Eastern media from coming overseas and delete and destroy old media the demoralizing would work. So far they have not done that, yet.

DA2 was a massive decline back then and still isn't a good game. I would not be totally against replaying it, just treat it as a weird, little curiosity from that area before things went to total ****.
DAI there is nothing redeemable in there whatsoever, even ignoring the woke stuff. I tried to play it semi-recently, I think I managed to slog through 12h or so.

That's kinda my take as well. Coming to realize "entertainment" is not really that important has freed me of the rage when they release something stupid like Dragon Age or The Acolyte.

you're saying this as if DA2 wasn't the previous leader among videogames having progressive faggotry in them. Anders suddenly going from a funny guy in Awakening to a raging homo in DA2, and then raping your butt for picking a wrong dialogue answer was such an egregious thing he instantly became a meme.
then raping your butt for picking a wrong dialogue answer
I haven't played DA2. Is this is meant literally or is just being used as an expression?
the game had this friendship/rivalry system where you party members would react differently depending on your decisions and the way you treat them during the dialogues. So if you wanted to stay friends with someone, you had to agree with them, and pick the nice dialogue options. Anders was a romancible companion, and if you weren't paying attention to the dialogue icons (romance dialogues were marked with a heart icon) you could've romanced him by accident.

unironically BG3
gale asks if you want to learn magic, if you answer yes it becomes sexual, they ended up patching it out
Considering playing it again. Looking for suggestions regarding the most interesting party makeup. When I first played it, I felt forced to bring one of each class due to the abilities that act like keys and are mutually exclusive.
Considering a 3 mage + 1 tank party since the spells seemed more powerful and interesting than the other abilities. Can you even get a party of 4 mages?

Get the mod that lets you have an extra party spot for the dog.

Is there a mod that gives the dog a full talent tree like the Xbox version? So that it can properly replace the bipedal warrior options? I'm not keen on mods that would make the game easier.

I like the Fade, never understood why it was so hated
Wasn't even aware it was hated. Fantasy realm where anything can happen that hands out permanent stat bonuses. Was BSN upset that you can't romance the Fade?

Probably because it was confusing (lower-end machines display this quite badly; I know from experience) and added quite a lot of time to play through all of it. Using Skip the Fade makes it possible to run through Broken Circle in about 1,5-2 hours, if one wants to. Maybe even less. I used StF for many years until I realized it is so much more rewarding actually playing through it and collecting all those stats boosts manually. Don't think I will use it again.
