Anybody keeping up with this? Basically it's claiming to be a spiritual successor to Daggerfall with some of the original devs (Julian LeFay, Ted Peterson, and the guy who did the music) at the helm.
Steam Page

It looks... interesting. Not gonna lie it's spent a pretty egregiously long amount of time in the "conceptual" phase and while I'm glad to finally see some real dev diaries it definitely looks like it's got a long way to go to get out of the "early unity project destined for doom" valley. I'd say I'm "cautiously curious".

At least they're striving for an authentic Daggerfall experience :smug:

A good article on it:

Remember trolling them on their discord with The Wall pointing out that Julian had written zero lines of code after 2 and a half years, although it looks like it's finally in the pre-pre-pre-alpha stage now. I wouldn't get your hopes up, because it's never coming out.

That doesn't surprise me. It has the smell of "NEVER EVER" written all over it. The same kind of real progress/content drought you see in big modding projects (updates get more and more sporadic, what updates you do get are miscellaneous and trivial **** like background music, starting with d-tier content like writing lore books before getting a basic vertical slice done etc.) pretty much permeate anything I see on this project. Kind of a shame because games like Daggerfall has been pretty much dead since it's release.

I think it's so funny that everyone universally views orcs as *******. Even people who love ******* then project their poor mistreated minority noble savage whole chungus 100 onto orcs because they recognize they are *******.

House on the Borderland pigman orcs are the only proper orcs. (I'm agreeing with you.)

I don't like making orcs look like one thing, but if they had to the hog people is best.

The dungeons and dragon cartoon also had orcs as pigmen:

:Inspector: It was actually a mix between lizardmen and pigmen. No one can say Venger isn't creative.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

I don't think putting them in a youtube video will make that boring generic concept art that gets 13 likes on Twitter is gonna really make it able sell this game guys. Not exactly hotly anticipated enough to have a teaser trailer to announce when a kickstarter will be starting too.

There isn't even a game to look good yet. There's concept art and short videos dicking around in unity lmao
