Anyone played it? I got it for free recently :smug: And while I don't like being forced to play as a w*man, I've got to say I like some aspects of the game. The combat is popamole, to be sure, but I'm getting the feeling that it might develop into something interesting and satisfying down the line.

Could have been decent but splitting the story across five characters left me feeling unattached to any of them, as if they're not my character. The overarching story is not very good, and the ending is stupid as hell.

Some parts of the dev team were picking up a lot of slack from the others, if you find the design of the game enjoyable it's probably enough to carry the rest.

The narrative reminds me a bit of SaGa Frontier 2, except they split it primarily across two characters with the story diffusing to those who were near those two characters. It left you feeling much more attached to the main characters as it followed them from early life(in one case, birth) to old age & death, rather than just seeing a short slice of their life with little before or after.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Played the release version. Back then all characters pretty much played the same, it still kept you going but ultimately it wasn't great. I believe they changed it with some updates, still don't think I will pick it up again. That first person mod looks pretty nice though.
