That combat reminded me a lot of the first Fallout (desert + those insectoids too, though it was scorpions in Fallout). Hope it will turn out well, seems promising!

Thanks for the thread! I'm hoping to have the game out next March, after the next Steamfest in February. It's my attempt at a throwback to the older RPGs that I grew up playing (Fallout 2, Baldur's Gate 2, etc.)

It took me around three years to build the foundational parts within Unity (and engine within an engine, I guess), and since then it's been pretty seamless inputting the story elements.

Looks interesting indeed.

The only thing I already don't like are the open skill checks in dialogues. You are basically highlighting the "best" answer for players, might as well not show any other options. Unless of course some of these skill checks lead to failure.

Demo releases sometime this month.
I noticed a strong trend back towards games actually having demos because of the Steam next fest, cool move on Valve's part.

He also mentions in his latest update that game is basically done and he is using EA only for bug fixing (4-6 months). That would be actually a proper way to use EA.
