Is this the one with the cool song someone posted somewhere else?
You cannot reason a person out of a position he did not reason himself into in the first place.

I know. I already completed the game once. The game is unplayable without a cleric. Negative plane protection is a must have unless you wanna to lose levels and have to save scum vs any mid level undead. And turn undead also a must have in the castle.

edit : How I take screenshot in dosbox?

PRTSC does that :

Other thing. Playing it with only 2 party members, reached the cemetery at lv 9. How exactly I free the jeweler spirit and progress the part with a banshee? I don`t remember and the clue book is not helping. Seems like I need a bone vault key but I can`t find it.

EDIT : Found. Was easy. In his house. Now ancient elven warrior crypt.

If I remember correctly here is where the pyre elemental will start appearing.

Completed the ancient elf tomb. Now I need to open the gate in Road North. How I do it? I don`t remember. And the cluebook is not helping me. Which key I use to open it?

I didn't start this yet as I'm still finishing up KotOR from last month, but if you're completely stuck you may want to check a Let's Play on youtube and seek around until you find the part you're stuck at.

I solved, visited to the mayor, then started to walk around looking and looting stuff that I dropped till I put so many keys in my key ring that both had no more space for keys. If someone is wanting to play it, don`t under any circumstance play this game without a cleric. Without negative plane protection and turn undead, I don`t see how anyone could beat this game. Mages aren`t essential in this game, Shadow Fiends are immune to most of spells and Doom guards too.

Now I`m doing Greater Catacomb beneath Barovia. I need to find 15 well hidden coins, but if I remember correctly this is the last one very annoying dungeon to play. I will try to beat this game today or tomorrow. I will play this game as an nonlifer till I beat today and then, sleep.

edit : Game completed

Huh, I expected it to be longer. I dabbled with it a bit a few years ago, but just wasn't feeling it at the time. Always loved the setting though, at least the 2nd edition version, God knows what they've done to it since then.

I used cluebook a lot. Also played with a very powerful party. If you play without a cleric and without cluebook, I think that this game will take a very long time.

Anyway, when I get my badge? And is anyone else trying to beat this game? This thread is so abandoned compared to VtMB...

I probably wouldn't go in without the cluebook either.

Started the game with a human paladin and half-elf cleric/mage.

How difficult it is overall, especially for a newfag who grew up playing popamole games? Are there any pitfalls, aside from always having a cleric to prevent undeads from draining your levels?

Paladin or Fighter. If someone want to play in "hard" mode, play without any cleric or paladin.

PS : When I will get the badge?

Is this based on 1E or 2E? I see the manual says cleric is available to all races, and that's not 1E.
