I agree. No need for a complete redesign, but the boob area is definitely too prominent

Ironically actual medieval plate armor was often bulgy in the chest area so sword blows would slide off to the left or right. The design was intended to deflect blows rather than just endure them.

However, Aylin's armor looks more like ceremonial stuff anyway so changes are fine either way.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we actually have any examples of female plate armor that was meant for combat - at best you have ceremonial examples of dubious veracity.

The biggest issue with the boob armor is that it would deflect blows right into the solar plexus. I'm not too sure how best to rectify the issue, because if you try to replicate the chest bulge featured on historical plate armor, while needing to account for the breasts, you could end up with a comically inflated chest-piece that limits arm mobility.

The amount of censorship in the West really makes me wish for total Chinese takeover.

We'd still have censorship, but at least it would focus on stuff I don't care about, like squares.

You would then work 6 or 7 days a week 12 hours everyday and kids could play a game like 1-2hours a week and maybe it would be even worse if they treat their own citizen like that. You say something against the government and you become unwillingly an organ donor.

Ah, I wasn't referring to female armor. I meant the armor on Ser Aylin.

You're right that armor modeled to resemble breasts would have the flaw that it would make the armor weaker, but I mean armor that has a literal bluge in front like the ones below.

First thanks for the mod and inspiring me to look outside nexus for mods. Sick of their **** after the Spider-Man flag nonsense. This is just as bad.

As for a romance mod, why not turn all the options into women? I’ve done that with some of the mods available on nexus, only issue is they sometimes use the wrong pronouns .

Also is race swap thing a real work in progress? I actually did think it was stupid and beyond pandering that every group of characters has a diversity quota. Once you notice it, you can’t stop seeing it. Even in the under dark the dwarfs have the features of black and Asians….. I’m kinda surprised they didn’t add them to the spore and fish people . Why can’t any area have its own unique cultural aesthetics? Also most the villains are white

"Jhaerik's Disable Reactions Mod" on Nexus "removes" romance by basically disabling reaction gain which seems a bit drastic and probably locks you out of a lot game content.

I'm only reaching end of Act 1 though so not sure how much content is locked behind companion approval growth.

I've collaborated with @orinEsque and @dantrag28 on developing a mod to disable romances. Initially, we aimed to trigger romances solely based on gender tags, but this approach faced technical hurdles while converting between LSF (binary) and LSX (XML) formats. As a workaround, I resorted to binary editing, which allowed for the replacement of flags or tags but not the addition of new lines. This strategy led to a unique solution akin to "Jhaerik's Disable Reactions Mod." However, our mod differs significantly as it permits players to gain approval without initiating romance scenes. For example, in the NoMaleRom version, we have reworked the narrator's lines to convey a platonic narrative. Players should carefully avoid choosing romance lines in certain scenes, like Gale's weave scene, which we have intentionally kept non-romantic. As a result, Gale will not extend an invitation to his picnic area in Act 2, and Wyll won't ask for a dance, since these scenes previously implied non-platonic interactions.

Additionally, I attempted to introduce a new game flag, but the game files did not recognize this modification. Consequently, I developed two separate mod files to ensure game stability. The "NoFemaleRom" mod effectively removes flirting options with characters like Shadowheart, Karlach, and Lazel, and has been thoroughly tested for any game-breaking issues.
Please report any anomalies you encounter, such as scenes that remain unchanged or lines that seem out of place. Additionally, for thorough tracking, I will also need a screenshot of the line of dialogue.

Instructions:

• Activate "NoMaleRom" to prevent male characters from initiating romantic interactions.
  Activate "NoFemaleRom" to stop romantic interactions from female characters.

• To implement these mods, use the Mod Manager. When you add the mods, they will first appear in the override folder, which is located at the bottom. Simply right-click on the desired file, choose 'allow in load order,' then save (Ctrl+S) and export (Ctrl+E) the order to the mod file.

Thanks, just downloaded it. I’ve got a masters in history and it never ceases to urk me when cultures seem out of place. I know it’s D&D and fantasy but it’s still off in a Middle Ages setting to see more “diversity” then modern day LA. I couldn’t watch the Amazon lord of rings and the last Vikings season series on Netflix without being ****** off, same goes for the Witcher. The first round of Game of Thrones did it well…. Not sure why they just don’t set some games in Africa or a fantasy version of Africa to hit their quotas. It’s like they are racist or something

Baldur’s Gate 3 is still a fantastic game, but no, they’re not bundled together. Orin did, however, make a much more elegant version of Baldur’s Better Aesthetics which is available inside the Better Aesthetics thread and less likely to cause conflicts.

Just wanted to say thank you for this page and these lore-friendly (PC free) mods!

I first heard about Sir Aylin after all the journos freaked out about people daring to have different opinions, then I saw said journo say there was a whole compilation of said mods (but he wouldn't link to it because we all know why). Some quick searching and I finally found the page and the mods I've needed to get back into BG3.

Nothing was more jarring than having every male companion hit on me when I wasn't expecting it (I found the no male romance mod here too). Between that mod, this mod, and a few others I think I'll be able to enjoy this game again. Thank you for putting lore above woke religion!

While I personally do not need the mod to enjoy the game, I firmly believe that if all the other super strange "make everyone a ******" mods are OK, this should be OK too. Equal rights, equal freedom, *******.
