Now the excess of cost will be around 20 million,
Pushing the game back cost an extra $20m if you want an idea of how ridiculous game budgets are now.
Technically it could cost a shitload more if it doesn't take into account additional shilling/advertising/marketing before delayed release, and the difference between sales estimates if it were to release in the "original" timeframe vs the delayed one. So it could smell like he's just talking to the stockholders.

But hey, if it means another step to their brokeness it's great news.

Also adding up to the cost of going for gaslighting negative reviews under feb's "history month" means going near the release of other major titles such as KCD 2.
Right, I forgot, Feb is ****** month, and Vavra once again releases his game during that month. That already caused quite some butthurt last time.

That month also has Yakuza, Avowed, Monster Hunter Wilds releasing.

Do these investors have any idea what is going on with the companies like we do? I can't imagine knowing what I know, having a large amount invested in the company and being anywhere near civil to these guys. I mean, all politeness would be off the table and nothing short of grown men sobbing like little girls would be acceptable before I was done. FFS, people lack backbone these days.
I suspect they don’t know and they don’t care. From my brief experience in the finance industry, these guys care more about their ratios and comparables (EV, P/E, P/S, EBIT, and all that shite) and only care about other factors if it will impact the company earnings.

Otherwise, they don’t give a **** what the company is doing.
I disagree, at least in this specific case. Am I the only who took the tone of this call as a bunch of very polite, soft-spoken sharks who are suddenly smelling blood? And likely ****** as hell that some of the blood is their own?

That didn't read to me like an easy, non-confrontational update. It read like the start of a feeding frenzy. These guys are sharpening their knives, and I'd bet dollars to donuts Mr. Right Honorable Yves Guillermot can hear the whetstones through the speakers.

Striking because they are being asked to start working after years of doing **** all? Nice!

Going for a strike for just being told to go three times per week

Sounds like a terrible case of reaping what was sown.

If that is the case, then let the massacre commence. I pray Ubishit goes up in flames.

If something that used to be super huge as Ubishit can fall, then that will be the best sign that the rest could also follow.

Funny how this "activist investor" openly says that the company should be sold to a "private equity firm" but doesn't want to specify which.

Also, by "private equity firm" I assume that it may be referring to a company that's just as if not more woke than Ubishit, in which case I would be interested to see how long can the company's agony be prolonged. lol

Pretty sure those clowns just though it looked cool. Malice is kind of a stretch in this case.
Imagine an image with a ****** in European armour, with a girlboss ****, underneath a broken, inverted cross... would you tell me that's not malicious?
Or a long nosed figurine posing sat on a destroyed tower with half a plane hanging out of it, lol.

Sports games are a business haven: they have a huge addicted audience, normalized microtransactions, you make 60$+ "sequels" every year by updating roosters and making few new face scans while copy pasting 90% of previous game and you are still going to sell that **** cause you have no competition

I still recall the 2K trailer thing with the rulette and all the rest, which was said to be "PEGI 3" compared to Pokémon which was PEGI 12 because it had slot machines. When it was brought up those giving the score insisted on leaving it as it is, and apparently they are the same people giving the ratings, so they were rating themselves. It is a massive rabbit hole, especially with 2K and the basket game.
- Here to show my support for normal gaming.

Thank you for existing! :bounce:

Yeah in some ways even worse than gatcha games. Every single year the majority of players are complaining that they just paid full price again for the very same game, and next year they are buying it again. In Gatcha games they at least have to create a constant stream of new heroes and ****..
