So another game hunting the quest marker through linear corridors, cycling through ****** cinematics and trash mobs towards a boss fight. How interesting.

The reception for it is rather positive, well compared to the first trailer: 16k/3k up/downvote

A lot of biodrones in the chat whining about how awful and negative the community is. Many of them actually have Dragon Age themed names and avatars.. are these people real? Do people unironically like Dragon Age enough to base their online personality around it??? Sad.
Yes, they're the same vocal minority that overdosed on copium when larian posted BG3 romance data.

This is supposed to be a fantasy game, yet it uses a neon-purple color palette, and the first chapter takes place in some cyberpunk city complete with helicopters, spotlights, and a dystopian big brother chanting propaganda through loudspeakers. Wat?

The environment looked pretty good compared to DA:I which were so clearly bland repurposed MMO areas that are just empty and devoid of anything except respawning enemy groups that literally plop out of thin air. Here you have NPC's standing around doing things, demons leaping onto buildings and causing debris etc. and the world looks semi "lived in".

This area could be uniquely a corridor due to what they are showing, AKA this is not a real explorable area / city hub but a specific story segment of the game that linearly transitions from non-hostile city to all out chaos based on triggers your walking over. The flip side though is that they can make it very fine tuned and visually appealing relatively cheaply so are we gonna see a lot of DA:I-esque areas and they showed this off as their "best foot forward" ?

Going from DA:O low-magic gritty world to this cyberpunk neon **** is a huge let down.

Do you mean that the staff working on Dragon Age didn't give a **** about the setting but were forced to make a DA game - so they just did whatever the **** they wanted then slapped solas and bianca on it and called it a day?

Cause I agree.

Okay, I can't ******* take this anymore. There's nothing I find more insulting than black and asian elves. Sticking some pointy ears on your character doesn't grant him elven grace if he has unappealing negroid or mongoloid facial features.
Elves are supposed to look white, with sharp narrow faces and very distinct facial features. Asian faces are too round and flat. Black faces are to wide and puffy. There's not a single black or asian elf that doesn't look like a poorly made cosplay. The fact that negro elves have ******* fades makes this even more aggravating. It's like that one video of sheboons "improving" ballet by shaking their blubbery asses. They're either too stupid to get the entire point of the thing (grace and sophisticated beauty) or intentionally ruining it. And I'm not sure which is worse.
Image
The black elves and black dwarves will never not be funny to me. ******* Marxists and libshits can not grasp why black elves and black dwarves do not work. I can write a novels worth of reasons why but I'll keep it short and simple. The reason why they do not work is because they are not human. Elves and dwarves are suppose to be different from humans. Their skin tones, ethnicities, culture and language are suppose to be alien compared to humans. By making black elves and black dwarves you take away the uniqueness of them and make them just another group of humans. I am so sick and tired of this constant push for "representation" everywhere. It doesn't work and it doesn't draw in a minority audience. If anything it makes them less likely to want to see or play something as nobody likes being pander to.
I note that this trend started around the same time that "cosplay" started becoming more widely done by normies.
Hard to cosplay as an elf or whatever if you're a nog or oriental if there are none, ever.
Not saying it's the only reason, but it's a reason.

Yes, and ultimately they decided to show off that segment (edited!) in a 20min gameplay trailer. So I have to assume that's already the best they have to offer. And it isn't much.

Why are mentally ill personas being gifted with positions where they can do irreparable damage to the company?
Because the CEO gets a fat paycheck and severance package, having raised the quarterly profits. What he doesn't tell the investors is that he has done so by acquiescing to ESG demands and permanently damaging the company by poisoning the IPs and lacing the workforce with religious zealots and mentally ill child groomers.

The CEO doesn't really care, though, since he'll be long gone by the time the ticking timebomb he created goes off, and his future prospects are tied to his willingness to display piety towards the cult (whether he is a true believer is irrelevant) anyway.

tl;dr - It's ****. It's always ****. It's always been ****. It will always be ****.
Too bad for Bob Iger. The fool was such a narcissist that he came back to reap the rewards of polluting Disney, including Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar.
Biggest moron in show business history.

Watched the trailer and that's not Dragon Age.
At all.
The environment is wrong, the character acting is wrong, the tone is wrong, and even the gameplay is wrong.
And it's clearly console trash, design wise.
Everyone involved in the decisions made while making this need to be fired and blacklisted from the games industry forever.

How is that purple ghost thing a pride demon?

It's like that thing Rusty talked about where the competency crisis has caused devs to no longer make party-based action games due to being too incompetent to make AI companions that aren't awful

Meh, it was about what I expected. Very Andromeda-y in terms of combat, which is neither a surprise nor particularly bad for me. I'm one of those crazy fucks who actually liked Andromeda's combat.
Combat was the only thing Andromeda was decent at. The problem is that few people buy a Bioware game for the combat, they buy it to see interesting characters do cool ****.

And I find about 80% of the characters in this game physically repellent. Even DA:I wasn't this bad about their characters and they had odious Vivienne getting what she wanted no matter what you did.

I'd be embarrassed to show this in a gameplay reveal trailer, entire thing looked like it was made by Spiders and has a lot of conceits that are acceptable for a team working on a AA budget.
