Tyranny and Pillars of Eternity were mediocre at best. There were some really good gameplay ideas in there, like the Tyranny spell crafting or the in-dialogue links that popped up codex entries on hover, but the writing is fantasy slop with faggotry (I'm including all the nigs and gays and feminism in that word) generously sprinkled throughout.
Stick of Truth was a competent South Park reskin of Paper Mario RPG.
I hated that part. Optional or not, I am playing a game, not speed running some wiki articles. If your game needs that to intro lore or create background, you are doing something wrong.

Tried it twice, second time I was really focused and even slightly excited to play it again, I could push it to 5h before uninstalling.

Reminds me of my short time playing Dungeons 3. Awful narrator and cringy reddit humor turned me off to the game completely, regardless if whether or not it was fun.

Funniest thing is that said voice is from one of the companions. lol

One good thing I can say is that Tyranny does allow you to get rid of companions you don't care about, but there are only six of them and the game can be super punishing if you play solo.

also the game runs like ****, even on the demo PCs they had setup at the convention, sub 30 FPS. The reason the gameplay videos show them walking so slow is because it's really noticeable if you move faster

If the demo is anything to go by, they've toned down the purple and the game world doesn't look like TOW anymore

It's been a long time since I've hated a game but TOW ... honestly I hate that game and everything about it. It is pure decline.

And I got it for free and tried to play through it. Anyway. A step in the right direction is to not have your fantasy game look like ****** DEIslop """"scifi"""" game.

Pretty much every newspiece from Obsidian regarding this game has been negative thus far.

"No, this isn't going to be a Skyrim-like, we had to downscale the game".
"No, you can't play as Aonuma".
"No romances, you can't kill or dismiss a party member"
"No different skill trees for different classes, sorry".
"No playable dwarves or godlikes".
No playable orlans either, just humans and elves".
"Day/night cycle won't affect the gameplay in any way".
"No, there are no minigames".

I commend them for being honest, but it's kind of a funny way to market a game.
I wonder if they ever feel pathetic for being incapable of reproducing 1/10th what a bunch of slavs in middle-of-nowhere eastern europe were capable of doing without having microsoftdollars
I've been trying out The Outer Worlds and I found some annoyances and leftover bugs in the items.
Cue learning to mod Unreal Engine: The Outer Worlds.
Me: What a ******* mess Unreal element design is. Who thinks this way?
Start looking through the files:
Zones meant to be bigger, with more sub-zones. A LOT more. No bandit camps 20 meters outside of town. They were to be zoned.
Armor was to be much more complex. You have a base armor and a ton of mods to choose from. At least 3-5x what ended up in game. And the mods were often important, not just extras.
Weapons had relatively moderate-minor mods in comparison, actually less than Fallout 4, but there were many different ammo types for the projectile weapons, and specialty powercells for energy weapons (standard, hot-shotted, rapid discharge, etc).
All abandoned in the game files as the scope contracted.
Even survival mode (eating, drinking, and sleeping) nearly completely removed. Gated behind the highest difficulty that few play because your companions can die in it.

I see what Avowed will be. It won't be bad, but it will be small in scope and theme-parky.

On his channel Tim said there was a push to remove ammo entirely from The Outer Worlds that he fought against. This may have been one of the compromises.

Urgh hard pass on this. Especially when KCD2 comes out arround the same time. Avowed looks like that mobile Blades game Bethesda made and from that I have never heard anything again after release. Hope this flops so hard. I would have preffered another pillars 3 over this.

But how about:
https://blogs.microsoft.com/on-the-issu ... -conflict/
Like the rest of the world, we are horrified, angered and saddened by the images and news coming from the war in Ukraine and condemn this unjustified, unprovoked and unlawful invasion by Russia.

I want to use this blog to provide an update on Microsoft’s actions, building on the blog we shared earlier this week.

We are announcing today that we will suspend all new sales of Microsoft products and services in Russia.

In addition, we are coordinating closely and working in lockstep with the governments of the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom, and we are stopping many aspects of our business in Russia in compliance with governmental sanctions decisions.

We believe we are most effective in aiding Ukraine when we take concrete steps in coordination with the decisions being made by these governments and we will take additional steps as this situation continues to evolve.

Our single most impactful area of work almost certainly is the protection of Ukraine’s cybersecurity. We continue to work proactively to help cybersecurity officials in Ukraine defend against Russian attacks, including most recently a cyberattack against a major Ukrainian broadcaster.

Since the war began, we have acted against Russian positioning, destructive or disruptive measures against more than 20 Ukrainian government, IT and financial sector organizations. We have also acted against cyberattacks targeting several additional civilian sites. We have publicly raised our concerns that these attacks against civilians violate the Geneva Convention.

We are also continuing to mobilize our resources to help the people in Ukraine. Our Microsoft Philanthropies and UN Affairs teams are working closely with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and multiple UN agencies to help refugees by providing technology and financial support for key NGOs and, where needed, we are defending these groups from ongoing cyberattacks.

As a company, we are committed to the safety of our employees in Ukraine and we are in constant contact with them to offer support in many forms, including those who have needed to flee for their lives or safety.

Like so many others, we stand with Ukraine in calling for the restoration of peace, respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and the protection of its people.
What is happened with "microsoft stand with ukraine"?

Joke aside: The pricing for Eastern European countries is completely irrelevant as the average Eastern European does not pay for his software. In fact, he doesn't pay for physical goods either, if he thinks he can get away with it. Eastern Europeans truly are the ******* of Europe.

If only you knew how wrong you are. Here in russia we have several generations of people who can't pirate games and software! They don't know how and believe that it is hard to install cracks or "there could be a virus"! I promise you, in russian part of youtube you can find video guides how to use torrent and they are new!
