Main complaint I'd have is often the dialogue feels very childish or comedic and it's very very out of place. Almost old larian tier and it just does not fit at all.
Oh. That’s an instant non starter for me then. Games that have **** dialogue needs to stop focusing on story and have a minimalist approach in it’s narrative to the bare minimum.

no grrrlbosses (so far)
I withdraw this
good i did not buy it yet. how bad is the girlbossyness?
you encounter a celtic tribe that is led by a woman and if you ask why they lecture you on it, and she's SMART and STRONG
but I'm pretty sure you can just side with galahad and go **** them up, who came into the area specifically to do that

There's basically zero consistency with the actual Arthurian stories. It's definitely not based upon pre-romance Arthur because many of the romance characters are there. Galahad, for example, does not appear in the original Welsh tales at all.
But there's also no real appearance of Christianity, there's references to the pope but the actual religious(??) people seem to not be Christian.

Not sure why they didn't just make their own setting instead if all they're going to use are broad themes and names.

you get really penalized for trying to play a spellblade character which is gay because it's objectively the best kind of character to play in these games

not to be confuse with witchcraft which is gay and girly
really didn't like when I had to stop dual wielding unique spells after I found a stat stick to make one spell much better

hate the concept of equipping spells like weapons altogether
guess you're supposed to be swapping your weapons around but it's just annoying in practice, the combat is too fast, if it was slower like skyrim it might work

I noticed that NPCs are killable btw, is this for all of them or are the plot-related ones protected? Anyone tried just going around killing the NPCs?

anyways, the writing isn't good enough to keep me around and the combat is getting repetitive so I guess I'm out at ~10 hours

once the level design started becoming more mundane it just becomes meh, exploring around an area and finding nothing was becoming the norm

if you like skyrim-style sandbox games it's probably more fun
Did they release a mod kit with the game? I know they talked about modding a while back, but I never kept up if they ever focused on it.

If woke is mild or missing in most of the game and the main problems are as you mentioned, it seems like this would be the perfect game to tweak.
I thought the point of this game was going to be a competent Skyrim modlist you download once, and the devs support for a year or two. Maybe an expansion, if it does well. I'm sick of mods and tweaking.
I have no idea, I just remember seeing something they talked about releasing a mod kit earlier on. /shrug

This is a point which I agree. You can't be a battlemage in this game. Meanwhile, is the most OP way to play every the elder scrolls game, from Arena to Skyrim. Breton battlemage is ludicrous powerful.

I didn't found a single weapon summoning spell, didn't found a single way to enchant weapons or temporary "infuse" weapons.

certainly looks like you can do a lot of overpowered cheese in this game skip to the last 2minutes if you want to see the op build in action

I ran into the same problem I do with a lot of these games these days. Works well with surround setup and display, supports the triple screen setup, and FOV tunes nicely to have a very comfortable view, but... the interface is a problem.

I wish they would allow for adjustable UI elements and scaling. They always seem to tether their UI's to the resolution directly and place the elements specific to the edges. I would prefer if they worked off a center point and then provided a scaling util so you could keep the UI centered to the main screen in some fashion. Some games have done this and it works well with triple screen setups.

As it is now, the HUD elements are at the far corners and some of the menus that come up are vertically stretched off the screen.

hopefully there will be a solution that isn't some nightmare, but I seriously doubt this will be the case. Time will tell.

It is a shame really, these types of games are amazing to play in triple screen setups.

Aside from that though, game plays smooth and looks great in my resolution (7830 x 1440).

unconfirmed, but supposedly it released because they ran out of moneys to continue & act 3 is completely unfinished

considering the game is doing alright for a small studio, maybe they'll actually patch it

So you don't sound very positive about the game — was it worth it, or is it really complete garbage?

I played it for like 15 hours and got bored once the novelty of the combat wore off.

15 hours, that’s really not much for this kind of game, especially at that price point. 40 euros for something that is still unfinished It’s basically screaming ‘get me at -70% in a year.’ Early access is really a plague.

Skip it until its finished, unless you want a pirate-and-play Skyrim modlist. Sounds like Act 3 is missing.

They are free to extent the refund policy on steam to 10-20 hours for these larger games. And being an indie dev doesnt mean they wont try to screw you over by only polishing the early game. Then better release a lot of content dlcs later and polish what you can manage with your time and money as a dev.

You can still support it later if you liked the game btw. Also its not stealing you only get a license to play you own no games anymore unless its all on a physical medium.

Did they actually mentioned they will finish act3? Otherwise I would think there is a 0% chance they will actually do that.

This all started from a stretch goal for a board game that got turned into two video games, one made to fund this one.
I have no proof of this but I'd be willing to believe they'll patch it up and release a finished edition now that it's selling well relative to budget/team size (probably cost a few million to make)

It's more like you fast travel relatively close to the area you want to explore. I won't pretend there's not a lot of exploring to do, at one point I was just wandering around places already cleared on my map and still finding stuff. I also did almost zero playtime at night.

If it wasn't gay ****** il2cpp I'd make a mod that disables enemy respawn. :broken:

Someone go to their discord and ask them to release a regular mono build
