Why is this game being treated like it's the incoming best thing of the year? So much so it needs updates, countdown and a full on topic to shill for this game here on HQ? Honestly asking. It truly feels as if there is a suspicious amount of hype for this game to even warrant its own topic here when this game is just one of the many Chinese-made games with the same cookie clutter thing, graphic wise as well. Not saying it is sneaky advertising, but it is just... interesting, to say the least.
...You're wondering why someone talks about a video game they're excited about on a forum for video games? Are you serious?

The rest of your question can be answered with a) marketing and b) the game's creator already made Punishing: Gray Raven, another game that appeals to another portion of the same audience. So the company is in the lucky position of using their reputation from their older game to advertise this one to players.

It is just strange to see it done like he is doing, never seen someone this aggressive and defensive about their game. Xenich did a whole post about a Dungeons and Dragons game I still have to fully try, he made his point and wasn't in any way like this.

Some people will go to extreme lengths to try and "own the libs/americans" even if that means gargling slop like a good piggy.
And what those extreme lengths would be ******? Creating a thread on a **** forum like this? Are yku ******* ********? Honestly it was worth it just to trigger gay dumbfucks like you.
Are you an immigrant to a western country or from Taiwan by chance?
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

No. Wuthering Waves doesn't offer me anything Genshin and Honkai Star Rail didn't already give me.
Genshin in particular offers my my fav element (water/Hydro) in an abundance + I invested a lot of time in Genshin.

Honestly, I dont know what WW would have to offer for me to even install it. I've seen the clips and WW being talked about, but it didnt capture my attention in the slightest.
It's just my opinion, not the absolute truth

I think I'll give it a try since both of those are currently between updates. The game itself doesn't cost anything anyway so at worst I'll have a distraction for a few hours. Maybe I'll write a review for it here. The only thing I wrote about in detail is that godawful Robyn Hood show...

Yeah, Genshin and Honkai indeed are in between updates, but I also have Warframe and anime to watch, so I dont feel the pull

Why is this game being treated like it's the incoming best thing of the year?
I'm guessing it is because there is a dearth of colorful, high production value fantasy RPGs. At most we get one Trails game per year, and then every 3 or 4 years we get a Xenoblade Chronicles or a Ganblue Fantasy Relink or a Monochrome Mobius, and that's not enough to satiate people's desires. So people turn to MMOs or gacha games as the next best thing.

Preload is now available on both PC and mobile. Release is on 22/23.
I just spent the last few decades hating how many PC games were nothing more than console games ported to PC (with all their stupid design limitations making it frustrating on PC).

I think I will save myself the headache.

Like I said anything 'gender' related is the work of english localizers and has nothing to do with Chinese version. In english Genshin Impact Paimon refers to herself as Paimon. In Chinese version she says 'I'. Chinese are ******* around with westerners. I happen to browse their hoyoverse app from time to time abd jesus ******* christ its filled with gay ****. Kiddos discussing who is gay, lesbian or ******. Posting lgbt cosplay **** and whatnot. Chinese are laughing.
Can confirm this. I played in russian both genshin impact and honkai star rail, no gender ******** only "ΠΎΠ½"(he) and "ΠΎΠ½Π°"(she). For the gender circus, you can thank your localizers.

Have you done the Hexanexus puzzle stuff in Star Rail? A puzzle with cubes similar to tetris. It should be a text message received after completing a set few, where they ask you for a "user review", they ask for "gender" and the third option is an option to not "identify" with either. I would love to know what it really says in Chinese, or in any other languages, as that option killed my interest in the game and to ever support it.
I would have written it off as humor in the past (as you can pick the character's sex at start), but I highly doubt the "gender" and "identifying" dialogue was anything but what it is meant to sound like when they translated it ("translated" it) in English.

I can 100% confirm that LGBT **** is the work of american/english localisation team which is separate from Chinese mihoyo. Mihoyo just pays them to translate and do VO.

Look why dont you turn your brain on and think for a bit. Do you really think chinese commies would promote LGBT? Because GI and Honkai are getting support from CPC.

It takes more than the absence of politics I disagree with to make me want to play a game. What's the gameplay like and does the non-2D art look better than the borderline AI gookslop?

Could explain more on sex and "gender" in the Russian language? I am not understanding the difference from the example (doesn't help that I believe "gender" is nonsense made up by that Money guy to pervert a human's personal dispositions).

What languages can you speak? The best way to play is still in Chinese because any translation will lack many nuances and in some cases will be outright incorrect. I do not speak Chinese myself but I know how Chinese language works and it is completely different from any european language. I would guess Korean and Japanese or some other asian language would be a better option because Chinese culture had a huge influence on the whole Asian region.

And regarding the russian localisation. Im almost sure they translate from English and not from Chinese. Hence they parrot everything that is present in english version. Basically English version is like a golden copy and other localisations are made based on it.

Looking forward to the review!
Also, about Robyn in the Hood, didn't know you wrote a review for that! I saw HeelsvsBabyface's, and another guy that the name escapes me right now, videos on it and you have my deepest condolences to have to sit through that.
It's really more of a short rant because, in all honesty, Robyn Hood sucked from start to finish. If I pick apart every single plot contrivance and ******** writing I would likely exceed this website's word limit.

A short list of highlights are:
  • The big bad is ridiculed for being upset after the hood rats stole his car and assult his driver.
  • He offers the mom of strong independent woman money and scholarship for her daughters after the evil cop assaults her (he actually didn't want her assaulted, just removed from the premises).
  • The hood rats demand houses "where all the rich white people live" as if any of them could actually afford to live in a neighbourhood like that.
  • The mayor publicly tells big bad to drop his (justified) charges against the hood rats or she'll veto his aquisition of the building he wants. This is illegal on several fronts and by all rights the evil cop should arrest the mayor the very second she stopped talking.
  • Most damning is the character shilling. The big bad and evil cop make sure to tell us constantly how smart and loyal the hood rats are. This is despite the fact that the hood rats keep stealing despite the fact that they no longer need the money.
  • The big bad wants to destroy half the city by flooding it. Because that's totally something a property developer would do. The **** director probably realized that the hood rats were too unsympathetic and the villain needs to be more evil to compensate.
Rant is HERE.

The game review will likely be longer but not nearly as angry. I can't imagine this game being worse than this botched abortion of a Not!Netflix series.
