Did the art team for Hades 2 have a few consecutive strokes during development?

Hades 2 is currently in early access. That means that the assets are unfinished or placeholders.

The game has been in development for 3+ years. They didn't find them time to draw less than 30 portraits in all that time?

It's like a week of work for a competent artist. Maybe even a couple of days with ai help. Incredible.

AI work can't be copyrighted so they'd never include it for anything even remotely important.

Obviously not. Not the first time the company did this either. The first Hades had the same badly drawn guy in differently colored robes as placeholder for years.

Every single NPC had this as a portrait, just in different colors.

Use it as a base on which you start the painting. Use the pose and the proportions. With an overpaint there is zero evidence left that ai was even used. Iirc it was Trent Kaniuga, former blizzard artist, that said more than half of the art in the big studios begins as a photobashing session. Wouldnt surprise me if some copyright stuff off google found its way in there.

Yeah, that sounds much better. Artcels would still complain about the Ai though because of muh intellectual property or some ****.

Twin brother of Athena Artemis who has light skin. So canonically he is just charred.

I gave you information directly from Hades 2. Which is what I thought we were discussing since obviously the Greek gods from history weren't all gay with rainbow skin and Chronos didn't come back to life in order to melt all the gold into coins with his emblem on them.

1) Those images aren't helping your point.

2) It was a trap. All of the art in Supergiant's games is drawn by a Chinese woman, so it's Chinese anime by definition...

Typo on my part. I guess Rusty is right and the art is indistinguishable.

Throne of Seal is actually pretty good, as far as generic wuxia supah-fightan shows go. Probably the most impressive 3D animated action series I've seen that's longer than a tech demo, although I admit I don't watch a lot of them.
The show title is ironically the most engrish thing you'll see in the fan translation, the rest of it is fine.

Not really, stop believing the "Just took me 30 minutes to do this piece" meme. Even assuming the designs were more or less already "finalized", a portrait-reliant videogame would require several iterations before being considered complete. AI wouldn't be much of a time-improvement versus "traditional" photobashing methods on such an artstyle-heavy game. I'd be surprised if a competent artist would even manage to push one of these portraits per day.

With that said, they had more than enough time to complete the whole pantheon x10 over at this point.

That's not really the case. Are you unfamiliar with AI tools in enhancing and modifying art, including portraits? More importantly, are you an artist threatened to lose your job by AI? :Inspector:
