I dread a return to Divinity(i.e., diablo loot puke) itemization.
Larian said they weren't super happy with it either, but it was necessary to get the funding as the Diablo style was super popular at the time.
I very much doubt we'll see a return to it.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

The irony of their rage is lost on them - they are laying claim to the entirety of 'Asian' culture, including Japan (I mean one of them is a **** lmao), so let's just call them hypocritical professional grifters.

But, this entire time, no-one seems to mind that the 'accepted' fantasy tropes are a bastardisation of Medieval (early-to-late) and sometimes, Renaissance Europe, while simultaneously being devoid of it's Christian nature. They're simply willing to get upset that a Samurai is a class, and that they use a font that is used by Chinese, Japanese, Korean and so-on people now to identify themselves anyway.

Let's have the entirety of fantasy destroyed shall we? Since of course, all references to Knights are culturally appropriating Europe (specifically the Franks, and Saxons) and all references to 'Church' or 'Monastery' are co-opting Christianity for the 'aesthetic'. Dragons too, stolen from our folklore, and hags, druids, highwaymen, harpies, the undead... etc.

Naturally such a conclusion is absurd. But my facetiousness is just illustration.

It is alarming/hilarious/depressing in equal measure that grifters have latched onto CRPG's / RPG's / Gaming / Fantasy (insert anything else here that sits in our broader hobby) to suck it dry like leeches.

Honestly think it's mostly just because we've been denied more or less any decent CRPG's in a long while. So even the chance of one that -might- be, was enough.

Doesn't also help that EA was, in fact, not a representation of the actual launch game.

CRPG games doesnt attract zoomers, its mostly a boomer/millenal concept, Larian used this concept for quick lgbtq cash grab like real ****. Who the **** was the game even made for... :headbang:

20% reaching late game is a pretty great stat for any game tbh, especially one as long as BG3

750k out of 15 milion is good?, also its probably less with the amount of copies on steam.

I see real autists enjoying the game, and are extremely delusional about Larian grifted.

Do your research in games similar to BG3 in scope, I doubt you'll find way better numbers.

CP2077 β€” 37%
Elden Ring β€” 39.8%

BG3 has a completion rate lower than Wasteland 3(23.6%). The only 'major' RPG I can think of that BG3 has a significantly higher completion rate than is Dumpsterfire(17.6%).

2077 is an open world shooter full of predatory psychological tricks/map markers to check off that keeps gamerbrain happy. BG3 doesn't even let you level up for a large portion of the game. Not surprised it's lower.

…How does that contradict his point?
The game is blatantly unfinished, the level curve itself doesn't even match the game's length. You will spend the entirety of the third act at max level.

It's helpful to remember that Larian lost their second oldest studio mid-development and rapidly expanded. Early Access BG3 quite literally was not made by the same people as the rest of BG3.

I'm saying it completely makes sense that BG3 would have half the completion rate that 2077 has.
