The irony of their rage is lost on them - they are laying claim to the entirety of 'Asian' culture, including Japan (I mean one of them is a **** lmao), so let's just call them hypocritical professional grifters.
But, this entire time, no-one seems to mind that the 'accepted' fantasy tropes are a bastardisation of Medieval (early-to-late) and sometimes, Renaissance Europe, while simultaneously being devoid of it's Christian nature. They're simply willing to get upset that a Samurai is a class, and that they use a font that is used by Chinese, Japanese, Korean and so-on people now to identify themselves anyway.
Let's have the entirety of fantasy destroyed shall we? Since of course, all references to Knights are culturally appropriating Europe (specifically the Franks, and Saxons) and all references to 'Church' or 'Monastery' are co-opting Christianity for the 'aesthetic'. Dragons too, stolen from our folklore, and hags, druids, highwaymen, harpies, the undead... etc.
Naturally such a conclusion is absurd. But my facetiousness is just illustration.
It is alarming/hilarious/depressing in equal measure that grifters have latched onto CRPG's / RPG's / Gaming / Fantasy (insert anything else here that sits in our broader hobby) to suck it dry like leeches.
