HL Localization Fix 1.0.0 — Hogwarts Legacy

Post by Tipfy »

ImageImage

Overview
A reupload of the mod originally uploaded by 모드 " 피부색 버그 수정모드 " that translate to " Skin color bug fix mod "

Downloads
FilesVersionDescription
Image HL Localization Fix 1.0.0Main version. (If for some reason this link does not work for you, you can try This one provided by @1998
Image HL Localization Fix Addon 1.0.0Add-on for missing NPCs by me.
Image Natsai Face Replacer 1.0.0Add-on to replace Natsai's face by 모드.
Image Sirona Ryan Voice Fix 1.0.0AI replacement of Sirona Ryan English voice by an Annonym. (A woman with a man's voice.)

Installation
Put the files in the Paks folder, located in Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods. If it does not exist create it.

To uninstall, simply remove the files.

Things To Note
For the add-on I made, it add some NPCs that were missing. No screenshot included, it is an old mod i made a wile ago and the game is no longer installed, they just have a paler skin that's all.

Though if it is something that bother you, there is a difference in quality of change from the main mod, as i am not as good as 모드 . Especially for Professor Onai, I find it not easy to change from very dark to light with photoshop.

Updated NPCs in my add-on:
  • Professor Ronen
    Professor Onai
    Amit thakkar
    San Bakhar
Few NPCs are still untouched; Icould not find them in the files:
  • Effie Bone
    Rohan Prakash
    Hyacinthe Olivier
Here is a little bonus mod, it is a reupload of a mod that was made by an anonym originally posted on Nexus, that have promptly censored it.
It replace with AI the voice of the NPC Sirona Ryan that have a masculine voice on a female body;

I found Effie Bone in the game files. Still couldn't find the other 2 though.

Located here

Is there something like 'no alphabets' for this game?

There are a few voice replacement mods for the ***** (canonically a ******, female body with M2F VA/face scan) but none alter his backstory which you can only read in a note or his appearance
There's a mod that allows you to choose paler (normal white person) skin tones in the character creator
There's another that swaps the skin tones of non-white NPCs to white, but it doesn't alter their faces or hairstyles so it's essentially an albinism mod
And there's one that swaps the model of the main African companion so that she's white, but it doesn't alter the voice or African backstory.

There's no LGBT content in the game besides the one transsexual. Roughly half of the student body and countryside is non-white, and a majority of the teachers are as well. All of these mods came out within a month of release so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Other than this character, there are none that I'm aware of (left picture is an example of the albinism mod)

There's also a woman who has a wife, but she'll only tell you that if you inquire about it. You never see her again after the introductory scene that makes her seem important, though you can meet her Indian wife who is a merchant in the south-west.

Also, this mod replaces one of the black hairstyles. If you go the "albinism" mod route, the hair will make it less noticeable that they were supposed to be black, presuming it does indeed replace the hair for NPCs.

I have a file from when I was modding the game I made for myself where I replaced background npc heads and hairs, but I goofed up one of them so I haven’t posted it. How about I send it anyway and you guys could play around with it?

EDIT: Super duper unpolished but here you go gamers https://f.rpghq.org/ufgEcnftl3LY.zip?n= ... tras_P.zip

Hello, I just installed the mod and launched the game for the second time. I had given up on the game after two hours because seeing blacks and Indians everywhere in my 19th-century England completely ruined the game experience for me.

So I want to thank you for this mod.

If you ever have the courage, I just noticed that the paintings still have nigs, though I imagine that must be a lot of work.

If ever you need the location where I found this black man painting:

Hi,

That is just a reupload of someone else's mod, i only did a small add-on for some missing NPCs that i found.
I too had noticed the portraits and when i was doing it i had try to fix the those too but sadly i did not.

"I imagine that must be a lot of work."
I have no plan on diving back into it, mainly because i rather avoid Unreal Engine...
But if someone want to give it a shot, for what i remember it should be a matter of finding where the animated portrait texture is at, extract and edit it (i used GIMP), and then import it back and make a "mod" out of the changes that was made in the files.

Oh, okay, I see. It's still nice to host the mod here; otherwise, I wouldn't have found it.

Yes, there are still some nigs paintings left, though it feels like there are fewer of them with the mods, so now it doesn't feel like Hogwarts is in Africa anymore.

Is there any indication how "powerful" they are going to be?

As in, just basic ***** asset swaps, or will they allow advanced scripting, adding new areas or animations etc.?

Releasing mod tools for a 3 year old game that they are planning to release a sequel for soon? :scratch-pipe:

This is just a way to wall garden mods. They will announce paid mods soon once the dust settles.

That's a bit of a different thing. The unreal toolkit that allows you to modify blueprint and release mod packages for unreal based games is actually the Unreal Engine itself. You likely can still mod a steam purchased game with that downloaded Unreal toolkit.

It was the same for Conan Exiles. I owned the game on steam but the modding tools were downloaded off Unreal.

Is this painting animated or just a static image? I had a brief look through some textures in the pak files and while I found some paintings, I didn't find this one.

Hi, the mod was done on one of the first version of the game before it was made, i have no idea about the current version or compatibility with the mod support.
Do you have try to manually install the mods without using their mod support ? It could be that.

Guess what? Warner brothers actually found a way to brick this mod specifially. They are forcing diversity in the game and this mod no longer works. Yes the mod works, but I have found a 100% sus thing that they did. In the first golem fight in hogsmede, if you have this mod loaded, it will crash after you kill the boss. Itll say the game crashed, however it will keep playing regardless if you just minimize the crash window. So their saying it crashed, but thats a total lie because the game is still running. This can be replicated just install the mod and do the fight. 100% chance of it happening.

Anyone have the time and effort to implement a fix for the mod?

If the crash windows can be ignored and if you can keep playing normally, at least it's usable. :dice:
This is the only instance of it having problems ?

If you are right and it's indeed a warner brother attempt at killing the mod, that would be reaching quite high level of pathetic/ridiculous, which does make me believe it's real.
