MMORPGs are inherently a White man genre due to its focus on planning for the future which is why the genre is dead.

A liberal hell of their own making. I wonder how much longer they'll delude themselves that everything is fine and the society they have created is the one they want to live in.

My guess is long enough for all of us to get our throats cut by invading migrants.

In the latest Hitman elusive target, you have to kill a male wedding planner who has a history of killing grooms so that he can seduce the bride. When the mission actually starts... yep, it's a ******* lesbian couple.

Then what's his angle? Since there is no groom. Trying to turn the less butch one?

I've tried GW2 a couple times and the game is so incredibly on rails that I just can't find it enjoyable. All you do is follow a marker and do thing.

"War bad" is probably the most overused theme in video games. Anytime a midwit thinks he's going to say something profound, it's nearly always some variation of this.
It does always make me laugh when it inevitably backfires. Metal Gear Solid spawned at least 2 generations of people heavily into guns and military equipment. To be fair Kojima also shot himself in the foot by focusing so much on Big Boss that now more people like him and his ideology than Snake.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

Gears of War was apparently meant to be a "war bad" game. Which is why they went out of their way to make it seem so cool, I guess?
Couldn't tell if Cliffy B was being serious or just making it up years later after the libtard brain infection rotted his skull out.

I would lean more towards the latter explanation. Cliffy B has gotten exponentially more ******** over time.

Explorers of Sky was good. The writing wa a cut above your average JRPG. Nothing mindblowing, but the dialogue is short and concise. The plot isn't overambitious and doesn't overpromise, so the good moments really standout. The characters were pretty fun. I really liked the Wigglytuft and the final episode, and the final act of the main story had me on the edge of my seat. Felt good to beat the final boss and see the ending. The postgame storyline is... okay. It doesn't reach the highs of the main story, but the decision at the end caught me off guard.

The game is overall aesthetically meh, but there are a few pixel art cutscenes that stood out. There were a few good tracks too. The music during the final act was really on point and sold the emotional moments.

Gameplay wise, the early game is meh, as you're poor and can't afford to buy any TMs and haven't levelled up enough to get some good moves. The midgame when you are customizing your team is pretty fun. That being said, the gameplay begins to wear out its welcome towards the end, and it doesn't help that you get thrown into one dungeon after another with little breather room. The main story took me 50 hours to beat, and an additional 10 hours to beat the postgame story. I game overed a few times and lost several hours, so I'd say it overall took me about 70 hours to beat the game.

If you play this game, I would recommend picking Pikachu, Meowth, or Eevee as your partner, as they have the most expressive sprites, which you will be seeing a lot of as they are pretty much the deuteragonist of the game and carry a lot of the best scenes. If you pick... Vulpix, as your partner, then there just isn't going to be much difference between the faces.

Definitely in the upper echelon of Pokemon video games.

The vanilla maps are easy and meh. The gameplay becomes fun in the first expansion, as the overworld mobs are much more difficult (both having more HP and dealing more damage, so fights are longer and more threatening, and the mobs have movesets you memorize rather than just autoattacking you). The maps also become vertical and there is challenge in trying to figure out how to climb them, though if you do the story out of order and acquire mounts then that trivializes the challenge of navigating the maps. The game also has bombastic meta events and Elder Dragon setpieces.

Aesthetically it's the only other game besides WoW where you can play as an inhuman beastman. The Charr automatically run on all fours. There are also 36 different elite specializations to choose from and they're pretty unique, like a bow wielding paladin that use traps (Dragonhunter) or a ranger that can merge with his pet to use new abilities (Soulbeast), or an engineer that uses a golem that is powered by jade infused with draconic magic (mechanist). Also has some good music by Jeremy Soule early on, and some decent tracks in the expansions.

Story wise, the game had good voice acting, the game eventually got me invested in the Elder Dragon storyline and some of the characters. The devs use the real time gameplay to tell some good story moments. Probably the biggest selling point is that you get to go on a 100 hour long adventure where you are constantly visiting new high fantasy landscapes.

Image
Verdant Brink, a zone where an airship fleet has crashed into the canopy of a huge jungle. Climbing the tall trees and platforming amongst the wreckage was fun.

Image
Bloodstone Fen, a map that takes place in the crater of a magic nuke.

Image
The boiling sea at the bottom layer of Draconis Mons, a huge underground map inside a volcano.

Image
Jahai Bluffs. This area has been scarred by Brand magic. You will be zapped by lightning and killed in there if you aren't standing underneath something.

Image
The Jade Sea.

That being said, once you beat the story, there isn't much to do. You can farm Drizzlewood Coast for gold for hundreds of hours to build legendary items that give you a 10% stat increase, but eh, I'd rather just not play until the next story drop. Sadly the story peaked at season 4's finale, when the future of GW2 was in doubt so they wrote it to be a soft ending. Turns out the game did continue but much of the staff was laid off, and the original writers left and were replaced by SJWs, so the story over the past four years has been pretty lackluster/disappointing compared to what came before. I haven't gotten to the new expansion yet but from what I've heard it's more of the same.

Last year I replayed the story and wrote a review of every expansion and season on RPG Codex.
Currently the entire Elder Dragon saga is discounted for $20. That's 200+ hours of story content and if you have the time then I'd say it's worth it.

I'm trying to find any download mirrors for the Project Tamriel mods for Morrowind, but for the life of me I can't find any. Looks like it's being hosted on Nexus and Nexus only. If anyone happens to have the most up-to-date releases, please link them here. I refuse to make another account on that rubbish heap.

I'm just forcing myself to play GW2 because there's a good game buried here and I'm hoping it improves. I really dislike the combat(hate guitar hero MMO ****) and themepark design tho.
Excellent world events, stories, AI(not combat AI but 'general' AI) makes the world feel rather alive. I aggro'd a raptor and kept running past a neutral emu-looking bird and the raptor switched targets to the emu, which felt like something a predator would actually do by judging how difficult its prey would be.
High attention to detail e.g., was doing a world event after I retook a base to rebuild the north/south gates, the north gate finished before the south so the NPCs helping guard the engineers at the north gate ran to the south to bolster its defenses. Nice touch.

Also, the animations are extremely good, perhaps some of the best in any game. Maybe they don't look the best individually, but it feels good, and I don't really have a word to describe this.

Also 2, as I was typing this the guards and chef got into a fight over the lack of any food and an event to go hunt wurms for meat with some of the defenders started.
