Sigh. Lorewise this could be such good material for a potential conflict where humans and elves can agree on an issue.rusty_shackleford wrote: β December 15th, 2023, 19:25disgusting miscegenation elfs should be purged
But nope, in PC fantasy New York the fact that one species outlives another by ******* centuries has no social, financial or personal implications what so ******* ever.

Elves, with their ageless grace, they say. Yet, mark my words, it's naught but the Gods' mercy, granting them endless days. For in one human lifetime, we forge destinies and empires, while they, with all their years, barely manage to leave a whisper in the annals of time.

Exactly my point. Elves would, in theory, be the leaders of any culture or organization based on seniority and experience by virtue of their vastly increased lifespan.rusty_shackleford wrote: β December 15th, 2023, 20:21Elves, with their ageless grace, they say. Yet storytelling has been degraded to the point that they're essentially just pretty humans who live long and have pointy ears.
It's why I hate it when monstrous races (like orcs/half-orcs) become playable. Because they invariably just become humans with a funny skin tone and dental problems. Anything else would make game journos and race grifters **** their pants.
I dread the day illithids become a playable race. Can you imagine?

One very nitpicking thing about sending stone eye: it should not be blue at all. Wyll says it's made of bloodstone. Bloodstone is not blue. Just saying.
By the way, for those who want also a different voice for Wyll. It exists now! Here: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/ ... ?tab=files Download before Nexus took it off!
(Or is it made by you, orinEsque, and I am pricing to the choir?)

I have just about every BG3 mod from this site and some basic UI mods installed so I think there are some incompatibility issues. Wyll is black in the Charactor creator except his portrait. I have also loaded some old saves and he is unchanged. C:\Users\"Username"\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\modsettings.lsx does not have "Alternate_Wyll_Revamped" in it. nor anything else mod related. I am on linux and that is probably 95% of the problem!

Well that's your primary issue. Only the parts of your mods that is considered an "override" will show up and nothing else.Beagle Appreciator wrote: β December 16th, 2023, 06:39C:\Users\"Username"\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\modsettings.lsx does not have "Alternate_Wyll_Revamped" in it. nor anything else mod related.
You are either going to:
1. Edit the modsettings.lsx manually.
2. Get mod manager compatible with linux that does it for you.
3. Install bg3 mod manager with wine. (I can imagine some installation hurdles there already.)
You can try using my bare minimum modsettings.lsx with Alternate Wyll: https://f.rpghq.org/L6Zk0rjdADSZ.lsx?n=modsettings.lsx
Note: it's an xml file. if you want to add the rest of the mods you have to follow the same pattern as in the lsx file. I assume you aren't a dumbass with pcs considering you use linux. so here's some tips to changing the lsx file (it's an xml file). The node tag for mod UUID is added after GustavDev for both ModOrder and ModuleShortDesc. FYI: You can find mod UUID inside the zip file of each mod. It's a file called info.json

Ladies and gents if you can find me a hairstyle similar to these I would be very grateful. I will try and learn hair editing myself, but I've faced some difficulties so far, being new to blender and all. Every time I look for hairstyles i end up finding hoards of rather cheesy anime stuff.

orinEsque, I found a linux mod manager and it works for other mods, but I keep getting "We were unable to create a working story. Your add-on setup might be invalid. The game will continue with the story from the main adventure." whenever I start a new game or load a save with this mod. There was a small patch recently. It has successfully modded Wyll though. Is this normal or a concern?
I have NoAlphabets, Wyll, and BBA installed and I do not get this message when I load a new game.Beagle Appreciator wrote: β December 17th, 2023, 05:05orinEsque, I found a linux mod manager and it works for other mods, but I keep getting "We were unable to create a working story. Only if you care about your playtime counter. What this means it it sets your playtime to 0. it won't affect gameplay. Is this normal or a concern?
HOWEVER, you should not be seeing this when you load a save. You should see this when you start a new game, until larian decides to properly recognise and support mods.
I believe another mod may be causing an issue. or your scripT extender needs a reinstallation / update.

Could be. I have Mod Fixer but I don't have script extender I didn't know that was needed. Didn't see it in the install directions but lol maybe it is just required for modding in general as a pre-prerequisite.orinEsque wrote: β December 17th, 2023, 08:41or your scripT extender needs a reinstallation / update.

Here are my mods as they stand now (I tried script extender both as a bin override and as an engine injection and since taking that screenshot moved beardedAylin after CCreator to no avail)

Actually I just realized its only my old Save that shows that invalid story error. I made a new game progressed until beach saved and quit game and restarted bg3 and loaded that new save and no invalid story message. I have the script extender off and it for me is not needed. I have also tried turning of mod fixer and it appears to not be needed either.

Perhaps your old save was done with a mod that you haven't installed. That message won't bug your game out, just reset the "play" time shown the next time you save.Beagle Appreciator wrote: β December 17th, 2023, 11:24Actually I just realized its only my old Save that shows that invalid story error. I have the same mods as before just new added. might be a combo of things like the last two game patches in between the start of that game/character and now. but yeah script extender and mod fixer appear to be unnecessary and the take away (if my opinion and experience is to be trusted idk) is to make a new game and then load a save in that one to test if mods are working (at least if that "invalid story" message has any useful purpose in that respect which at this point I am skeptical of)orinEsque wrote: β December 17th, 2023, 11:28Perhaps your old save was done with a mod that you haven't installed.
