Is Bioware finished?
Meh. If it does still involve Tevinter then dark purple fits. The pretentious idiots love dark and depressing colors.Breathe wrote: β December 5th, 2023, 01:45I'm not even gonna press play with that title color scheme. I'd put my bets on this game being terrible just based on that.
Ew. Seems Bioware learned nothing from the Andromeda debacle huh?
When is that **** video game economy crash coming?

I believe that the purple means royal,, royal color... In the trailers end guy is talking about reign so... About the game itself i have no idea, but my expectations are about zero when it comes to it be any good.Breathe wrote: β December 5th, 2023, 01:45I'm not even gonna press play with that title color scheme. Nothing wrong with MEA β every criticism you can think of when you think of MEA is actually criticism of DAI
The incredible unsubtle ****** in MEA was.... wait, ****, there was that ****** in Iron Bull's team. Still, I'd argue that DAI was still more presentable and not a buggy rushjob.Atlantico wrote: β December 5th, 2023, 13:27DAI debacleSoLong wrote: β December 5th, 2023, 11:29Ew. MEA's biggest flaw is how mediocre it is, that it didn't steal wholesale from better works like the original ME did. Story and characterwise, it is Bioware being so full of themselves that they think they don't have to plagiarize others. But they do and that's ok. The original ME stole so much from so many and mixed it all up and made it work.SoLong wrote: β December 5th, 2023, 13:34The incredible unsubtle ****** in MEA was.... wait, ****, there was that ****** in Iron Bull's team. It is. It's the story and characters I had a problem with.rusty_shackleford wrote: β December 5th, 2023, 16:39MEA gameplay is actually pretty fun due to them just copy-pasting mechanics from better frostbite games. DAI's gameplay was not.

Dude should get a refund on those. With no filters and make-up, I'm still inclined to call him a dude.
Edit: Thanks Rand for reminding me to put a spoiler on this ****

That is not a winning combination.
Look at it this way: After ME:A and Anthem flopping EA will likely shut them down if they **** up either franchise. Maybe their own jobs being on the line will light a fire under their asses.Atlantico wrote: β December 5th, 2023, 19:31My gut feeling is that there is very low excitement for another DA or ME game and EA has doubled down on ******** and other mentally traumatized soy-people.
That is not a winning combination.
And if not at least nothing of value will be lost.

How has the commercial response to the game been? I've seen stories about sales and they seem mixed - inconclusive. The game seems to be doing okay but struggling to keep pace with Inquisition before it. Has it been a success from your point of view - how do you measure that?
Busche: There's three axes we can measure this by: what the team was able to do and put together - the pride that they can take in that; every game that is made, especially in the triple-A space where you're talking hundreds of developers, timelines, is a miracle. That they executed at quality: internally we consider that a success.
We're very happy with the critical reception to the game. It's not common to have these challenging development cycles and have a team turn around and receive the critical reception that it did. In fact, in a lot of ways, that is the harder path to take. So yeah, we're quite proud of the critical reception.
Unfortunately on the sales side, that's not something we can really discuss, but of course as we know with Inquisition, that was a long burn to get to those total sales numbers.
I believe that this abomination of a game is not enough to destroy Bioware once and for all. EA is gonna allow them to finish Mass Effect 5.
There is also this: Will this show come out before the fifth game? Will their release dates coincide? How much money Bioware gets from Pedowood?
But If they want to survive as a studio; and if there is even an ounce of intelligence left in Bioware, which is a BIG ******* IF!!! they will abandon their deranged political ideologies behind in ME5 and make the only move that GUARANTEES their survival:
Canonize The Indoctrination Theory and bring Shepard back.
This **** would sell like watermelons during summer in coonville central.
Forget about beating a dead horse, moral bankuptcy from a writing perspective and yadda yadda.
Cash would flow, simple as.
....of course, deranged activists are incapable of coherent thinking and they would rather die as a studio just to spite the so called chuds (in reality just normal people that are tired of ***** ****)... so they'll double down and ME5 is 99.99% gonna be even worse in every sense imaginable than DA: The DEI-guard, which in turn will hopefully lead to Biofail being put down like a rabid dog they've become.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?
I wanted to talk about Biofail dying. But not in the DEI-guard thread. Found this topic.Oyster Sauce wrote: β December 5th, 2024, 17:11Was very confused when I saw so many posts from December 5th on this page until I realized it was bumped exactly a year after the last post

Despite being Bioware's big moneymaker, Bioware didn't seem to give a **** about it.

Checking lead devs of SWTOR, they mostly seem very positive of the move.
SWTOR continues to receive updates, claims it was put on life support don't seem to match reality.
https://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/121020 ... ic-threads
Has a story update, new "dynamic encounter" system for the overworld, more asset modernization to update the graphical fidelity. The last one is the biggest hint that they have no plans on retiring the game anytime soon.
EA definitely cut it away from Bioware to save it, not to shelve it.

Have not played SWTOR in a while, but I remember reading an update where the team said that they were sorry for how lacking the latest story will be (cut up in smaller segments I think?) and said that it was due to lack of resources to develop what they wanted to. Not sure if that changed, but it should be the, if not the previous, latest update changelog. Still, with how much they are pushing for insufferable slaves, alien scum and women, I am not that interested in what they put out unless they truly give the choice to be rid of such "characters" as Sith.
Thank you for existing!
