Speaking of Elder Scrolls, I have new hardware coming in around the end of this month or early next month and I've been thinking about playing skyrim w/ a modlist again. I already had around 1k hours in Gate to Sovngarde and always wanted to upgrade to LoreRim until I saw this.

Image

Most of the Quest and companion mods for GTS are pozzed to some degree from my experience but at least jayserpa isn't larping about pride month and GTS is pretty good. Any other modlists you guys suggest?

Tempus Maledictum maybe? I played a bit of the VR version and it seemed alright, but still required customizing

Personally I'm not a fan of Requiem gameplay, which Lorerim and other modlists lean heavily on. Skyrim should be a power fantasy imo. So you're missing out on nothing, and the modlists are pretty bloated anyway and make the game unrecognizable

Gate to Sovngarde was the only modlist that seemed good to me (as a base to customize), and it's nice it has a Wabbajack now instead of just being a Nexus collection. Keizaal was pretty good back in the day, but it's basically an entirely different modlist since then so I can't endorse it beyond saying "it used to be pretty good"

Also, I'd suggest that whatever modlist you install, you use this tool to customize NPC appearances since I think most of the overhauls look real bad besides Windsong Immersive Character Overhaul:
NPC Plugin Chooser 2

Gallery you can use to compare different npc overhaul mods and see how bad they look:
https://npcfacefinder.com/

Also, all these modlist makers are probably too much of pussies to put AI voiced mods into it, so might be worth checking them out on Nexus and adding them. Here are some I believe are good: There's probably a lot more than just voiced mods too. Just filter by AI-Generated Content on Nexus and peruse away. There are mods the modlist makers probably avoided cause AI le bad and you'd be missing out on cool stuff:

Thanks for the suggestion. I might try GTS again, had a paladin character that I got really far in but had to delete my 100 hour playthrough because of ****** up saves and all the snow in the winter time destroying my fps. Even without the snow, I struggled to get 30 fps in Whiterun with my setup, and I was getting as low as <15 fps during the winter with the snow all over the ground. Also, I'm never recruiting Gore again

Eh it gets easier with time. I heavily edit modlists all the time and there's even a couple automated tools now to merge and eslify everything.

What are the recommended specs for Gate To Sovngarde?

I currently have 16GB RAM, an Intel i5 6500 CPU w/ 3.20GHz, an NVIDIA GTX 1080 GPU w/ 8GB VRAM, and a 2TB SSD

I had to stop playing this collection this year due to abysmally severe frame drops, especially during the winter season dropping my performance down to <15 FPS with all the snow effects, and also had bad (but less severe) frame drops during rain or when in Whiterun that worsened the experience

I am upgrading my CPU to an Intel i5 9400F w/ 2.9GHz and my GPU to an AMD Radeon RX 7600 w/ 8GB VRAM,
would these be good specs to play Gate To Sovngarde without all the frame drops?

I was in the army signal corps. What your pc needs is what's called a "Brogan Adjustment".

How fortunate then that you no more need his permission to mod his mod than he did to mod the game originally.

You'd think they could understand this, but they are the most selfish and thoughtless delusional assholes on the planet, and so won't, even if they could escape the prison of their insanity.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

All else aside @Oyster Sauce's response was just incredible. An instant shiv right to the spot that fucks ****** up the worst while also being hilarious enough to make me let a guffaw slip at work. Reading this and wanting to see him do it to others was perhaps the only time I've ever considered re-aliving ModtroonHQ. Amazing stuff.

Can someone on KiwiFarms document drama involving the ENBSeries dev? @Romeo Or are threads like that reserved for bigger lolcows

I was just looking into ENB vs Community Shaders these days and saw this:

I am doodlum, basically the project lead for Community Shaders.

Apparently, it was better I made a post myself. I do not care to discuss this myself, however. These people are not worth any more of the time they have already had me waste.

Due to continuous slanderous claims against us and numerous harassment attempts and threats, it makes sense to make this information publicly available for all. This has also entered legal territory with slanderous claims, threats of legal action against us and malicious threats to significantly steal from the Community Shaders project.

The subject of this information is currently:

- Boris Vorontsov, ENBSeries author

- TreyM, weather and lighting developer for Skywind and ENB creator

This is mostly documents sent to me by other people or very old. I really cannot be arsed to deal with these people anymore; hence there's not really any text to go along with images. I've also been on holiday and only just got back. Therefore, this is only really a slice.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... cS5pZquI0w

If you see instances of harassment, report it, and move on.

It is strongly recommended you use the Community Shaders server for questions and support for ENB, as we are a hub for many Skyrim graphics related projects.

Due to bogus legal threats by Boris Vorontsov as well threats to completely steal from the CS project at the same time, it's important that we have money to properly defend ourselves. Currently the best way is via https://www.patreon.com/Doodlezoid, any money earned there is locked away. In the future if we need to call upon the community for money for legal action that will be something like a GoFundMe.

I personally wouldn't be posting like this if I were publishing under my real name. Maybe Russians are just immune to issues that typically come with doxxing

I've heard a few rumors about the ENB dev here and there, but somewhere to read it all would be nice. This is all I digged up, some good some bad:

@aweigh posted a pretty good looking modlist that makes all the materials into PBR materials and looks like the base game but better.

Yeah I saw the notif, might look at that later. Also highly considering using No Alphabets and Realms Restored, just want my new hardware to come in, which will be a couple more weeks I think. I might put my load order in the support thread in case there are any conflicts or redundancies you guys know of that I don't

I'll port my Morrowind Voice Generator tool to Skyrim once Fable comes back (I fully gave into the vibes with the tool, haven't even opened it in an IDE). I want more modders to utilize it, and I think it'll be funny

I always had a theory that The Gate to Sovngarde modlist was commissioned by Nexus. Vortex was a laughingstock that no one with at least some modding experience used over Mod Organizer, hence why they got one of the most well-known and liked modders to make exclusive Vortex modlist

Reminds me of the good old "if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a bike"
Sounds like a bowdlerized version of "if my granny had balls she'd be my grandpa", which is itself a variant of the American classic, "if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle".
Which is now completely dated and bigoted. Ofc your aunt can have balls.
