I'm not playing Witcher 4. CDPR has gone fully woke IMO and I have very little tolerance for it. The mods that would be required to make it playable for me are likely outside the scope of reasonableness.sheet wrote: ↑ May 27th, 2026, 16:19What do you mean 5 years from now? Witcher 3 is already 75% off regularly. These are (non-live service) games that already came out 11 years ago and 6 years ago getting retroactively ****** over with windows 11 requirements.
I guess I'll update my offline copy now and just not buy the expansion because I'm not touching Win 11.
It'll be hilarious if they add Denuvo to Witcher 4. Anyone taking bets on that?
I don't want Win11 either and I've been using Linux for a few months now. It runs everything that I want to play, but Denuvo can get annoying since changing your launch options and troubleshooting Proton can cause your hardware ID to change, which triggers an activation, and you are limited to 5 per day or something.
I'm a bit petty but I had gone through one too many "Maybe later" buttons when I wanted a "**** off forever you piece of ****" button. That and the forced updates when I just want to shut down set me over the edge. I want more control over my PCs.
