Installation
  1. install the
    Image Middle-Earth Mod Loader
    • Requires the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables.
  2. Make a backup of the bink2w64.dll file in your game's x64 folder that the mod loader will replace.
  3. Place both the modloader folder and the new bink2w64.dll in the x64 game folder.
  4. Install the Image Shadow of War Packet Loader
    • Place the PacketLoader folder into the plugins folder inside the x64 folder
  5. Finally, place the PacketLoader folder of my mod into the plugins folder inside the x64 game folder, merging it with the other one.
    • Pathing should be: x64\plugins\PacketLoader\ etc
That's it, you're done.

To uninstall, simply remove all that. Don't forget to give back the bink2w64_.dll it's original name.

Things To Avoid

Modding of this game is fairly new and so are it's tools. The bink2w64.dll from the Middle-Earth Mod Loader (as of the latest version at the time of the making of this) can crash the game if you are;
  • Changing you'r UI, audio or graphic settings
  • Taking picture with Photo mode
  • starting a new game from scratch
I only made the texture; I took no part in the tools creation and have no idea how it work, so I can't help fix it.

But here is a very easy way around the problem:
  1. Remove the problematic bink2w64.dll
  2. Re-rename the original bink2w64._dll to it's normal name.
  3. Launch the game and get you'r setting as you want them, start a new game if you want and leave once you are loaded in.
  4. Quit the game and re-re-rename accordingly to what you did before the original .dll, and place back the no longer problematic one in it's place.

If the mod is still not working

If even after all this foreplay you do not see changes in the game, with it installed properly, you are going to have to re-generate the signature folder.
► Re-generating the signature folder
Note that You may or may not have to re-generate the signature folder again after you do modification, i.e., I had to do it when I was doing some testing after I had swapped the .dll to change settings. You probably will need to do it if you add another mod.

They care more about what you do with the game and playing the "right way" than actually making the games.
Weirdest cracker you know.

Yes, WB Games is one of those compagny that are quite hostile toward the moding of theyr game.

However, to be fair the crash problem listed are caused not by the game or my mod but by the bink2w64.dll that come with the moding tool needed for the mod "Shadow of War Loader".
As i said it is quite new, it's first apparition on Nexus is 4 month old.

We waited since 2018 to mod this game, we can wait a little longer for the creator of the tool or someone else to provide a fixed version of it.
Lucky us, if you follow the instructions and avoid the actions that cause crashing, that are quite easy to avoid, you should be just fine.

I know it's been awhile but is it possible to give him more "white" hair or even downright replace his head with a generic "savior" head (you know, the guys that come to your aid if you are about to be executed?)

It is possible, since it's possible to extract and re-import the models after modifications. I would have done it if i had some blender skills.
As for the hair, if i can't slap Talion's hair on him i suppose i could try and make him bald instead by removing the hairs maybe.

I took note of "Serka", have put it and the issue above about the hairs on my to-do list.
I might as well give it another shot at blending another head for both wile i'm at it, but i wouldn't hold my breath on that...

Don't expect it soon tho, i'm on another thing rn.

Edit ;
I gave it a look, i don't remember much on how to mod it and the more i look into it the lazier i get... Definetly don't expect it anytime soon.
That being said, here is Baranor and Hairs things i still have from last time, if one of you want to give it a shot.
