Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader
About romance, romances involving Rogue Traders should be more like nobles and planetar governor wanting to marry you into their family, for the privileges and connections which Rogue Trader has, not BioWare style romances.

None of the Rogue Trader romances are BioWare like. Owlscat handled it well. They are nowhere near as invasive as the ones in their other RPGs.

I'm torn. The new companion while cool may not be worth the run but seeing Trazyn and being able to interact with him maybe...Fitz wrote: ↑ April 17th, 2026, 16:26

The DLC companions are generally better written than the base game ones. Generally I want to see if this guy can be played as a swiss knife and just cover all the rolls the rest of the party can’t. When I get to the later parts of the game I end up counting on Jae for that. It’d be nice to use someone else for a change.
Sounds like a tech-necromancer to me. Neat-o.In combat Eogunn specializes in battlefield support, using his galvanic cell to drain the Motive Force from his enemies and either redistribute it among his allies or use it to strengthen his own attacks.

Soooo many normies complaining we didn't get another Xeno Companion.
'Wahhh, we already HAVE a Techpriest, waaaahhhh' Even though this guy is likely a different class altogether and is likely a Xenarite fuckin' around with Necron-tech. Like, they really thought we were gonna get a Necron, Ork, or Tau.
**** off, more interesting humans please.

Skyrim Belongs to the Nords.
Geek the Mage first.
There is no virtue in extending mercy to those who want you dead.
Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!

Tourists have this misconception that because rogue traders are allowed to have xenos in their retinue they have just the whole rogues gallery of every alien in the setting. In reality most rogue traders will not have any and if they do have one its either an eldar, some xenos animal, or maybe both and that's it.TheEmptyRoad wrote: ↑ April 22nd, 2026, 16:16Soooo many normies complaining we didn't get another Xeno Companion.

Will play this a second time when they actually get their heads out of their butts and put in {insert temple} assassin here so I can have an Eversor in my retinue. Yes and I know it will be there to kill me just incase of heresy too since I have those **** xenos on board.

Surprisingly ended up finding her well written, thought she'd be annoying.

"Death Cult Assassins are baseline humans raised in zealous warrior cults who worship the Emperor (or sometimes Khorne) through bloodshed; they are highly skilled fighters but lack genetic enhancement or advanced cybernetics. In contrast, Officio Assassinorum operatives are the Imperium’s elite, gene-edited, cybernetically augmented super-soldiers trained from childhood in rigorous regimens to be essentially post-human killing machines."rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ May 6th, 2026, 05:35The first DLC added an assassin companion?Killagain665 wrote: ↑ May 6th, 2026, 05:32Will play this a second time when they actually get their heads out of their butts and put in {insert temple} assassin here so I can have an Eversor in my retinue. It is like comparing the story power of a Space Marine to the actual gameplay mechanics of one.
Mechanics is Death Cultist. Story is an Ordo Assassin.
This voice actor is trying very hard to sound like Tony Jay so hard."The Infinite Museion" — the third story expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader — is to be released on June 11, 2026. Delve into the iconic vault of Trazyn the Infinite. Pursue rare artefacts, enhance yourself with augmentations, and choose whether to serve the designs of one of the galaxy’s most infamous collectors or oppose him.
Just like Yves, I chase tales

It can be really fun. I fondly remember a great co-op playthrough of BG1 back in the day. But, you need everyone involved to be on the same mindset that you described. Let us roleplay, take it slow, explore, investigate, talk to people and gather information and approach dungeons/combat tactically and slowly.Reichspepe wrote: ↑ February 27th, 2026, 21:54Never tried it. With games like this or BG3, I just don't see the appeal of coop at all. They seem like the worst type of game to play coop, being on the contrary made to specifically be played single player with taking your time, talking to people, the turn based combar and the narrative only applying to one character. Just the way the games are structured overall.
Or maybe I just don't get the appeal of it.
But, I agree. It's a nice bonus if you have the right people, but the focus should be on the single player experience.
I feel like another aspect to this is the fact that it's turn-based. Why would I ever want to play that in coop? Real time with pause would be far more fitting and make much more sense to have another player with you.Cipher wrote: ↑ May 21st, 2026, 20:25It can be really fun. It would have to be an entirely different game for the coop to be worth it. I dunno why they added it at all. You can't make your own character.

Coop tends to be a pretty yuge sales booster if advertised correctly, that's why it's added

The portraits for the surgeon and the tech-priest in the steam link + the 0[5x augments] to weapon and ballistic skill feat and the displacement augment are getting me hyped.
