Durge being an exotic race also ruins the backstory of him living in Baldur's Gate, being adopted, and then killing his foster parents. It turns into human couple adopted an exotic child and then got expectedly murdered by it. Him being human makes it more tragic. And I don't think other children in Baldur's Gate would casually be playing tag with a Tiefling, Dragonborn, Drow, etc. This is what you have to reconcile if you pick Dragonborn:

If you accept that Baldur's Gate is a human majority city and it should have sensible racial demographics (that this mod is attempting to restore), then picking an exotic race for Durge just doesn't make his backstory plausible, especially that Bhaal specifically made him as a weapon to coordinate the Absolute Crisis, being clocked by street-level spies throughout all of it, that he blended into the city and met people face-to-face, it requires heavy rationalization.

Also if you agree that baldur's gate is a backward society that treat "others" with tremendous suspicion, the death of the parents would cause the citizens to pin the blame on the lizard freak, and probably burn him at the stake. Even if authorities don't do it, the people would.

The bard isn't Aylin's girlfriend, she's Lakrissa's girlfriend. But Durge outright murders another woman that turns out to be Aylin's gf.

In fact, she is so customisable, that we had to move her to a separate "REALMS RESTORED: MIZORA" mod that you can check out here. What you will get in that mod:
  • Human skin was changed to a Tiefling one, to maintain Cambion ridges, spikes and improve on the overall devil-like appearance
  • Multiple outfits that look less like "normal human" fashion, and more in line with overall "alternative fashion" of their earler concept art
  • Added forehead roots for horns
  • Human form for Mizora updated to look like a noble lady, matching current aesthetic of nobles present at Wyrm's Rock Fortress [PRESENT IN AESTHETICS]
  • Eyelashes and eyebrows colours better match hair colour
  • You may create your own Mizora from the current selection of:
    • 4 outfit options
    • 7 outfit colour options
    • 5 skin colour options
    • 6 hair colour options
    • 6 hair style options
    • 1 option to add classic hair on top
    • 8 bangs style options
    • 2 permanent fringe style options
    • 4 eye style options
    • 4 eye glow style options
    • 2 unique eye style options

Basic RR Aesthetics Cambion Mizora comes with less upgrades:

    • 2 Absolute Cultists updated
    • 4 Dead NPCs were made to look, well, dead

  • Act 3 - House of Hope : Raphael's infernal estate has been overhauled top to bottom ─ debtors, their ghosts, petrified victims, and Haarlep's various forms all received visual updates, with a handful of gender swaps rolled into existing add-ons. All debtors received a personalised update supporting their dialogue / story, e.g if an NPC is scratching his skin to try and get out "rats that are crawling inside him", then he is visibly scratched and bruised.
    • Nubaldin race swapped, Archivist received an aesthetics update and was not moved to Undeviled Tieflings, if anything, he is more deviled now

─ Race-Specific Updates: CAMBIONS

Cambions no longer look like simple humans with horns attached. They were given a comprehensive race rework to make them feel genuinely demonic across the board and like a different, unique RACE and not a copypasta of each other drenched in inappropriate colours. The overhaul carries through to every Cambion in the game, including Mizora and her Sisters, the House of Hope Raphael's cambions, the Nautiloid prologue, and the Cambion Planar Ally summon. Featuring:
  • Scales on the skin for some
  • Red skin in different hues
  • Slightly different looking wings
  • Dark and red-leaning hair colours
  • Variety of demonic, flaming eyes
  • Variety of horns
  • Variety of clothing that still fits with the Cambion aesthetic, but is not a clear copypasta
  • ALL Female Cambions now use Tiefling skin with ridges and spikes, instead of the smooth Human skin they previously had
  • A total of 14 Cambions updated. 15 with Mizora, who was covered separately in her own mod here

Could you make an optional version to give Minthara darker skin and the same eyes as the other Drow? The drow with this mod look ******* awesome, but Minthara sticks out like a sore thumb now. If you don't want too, then could you give the lsx files (Is that what it's called?) with Nere's skin tone and eye, so I can just do it myself? I tried to open the mod up with the BG3 Modders Multitool, but it got caught up on ****** ****** ****** ****** ****** ******, said the directory was wrong, and refused to unpack it from there.

I can probably just make the file for Minthara myself, but I need to know what to copy/paste/replace to make it happen, and I'm too ******** to figure out how to crack open the Pak without the multitool.

Just a note but you'll have to change multiple character visuals for Minthara since she's a companion. I would unpack a Nexus ***** edit of her and check all the character visuals that require editing @AtlasG

I second that, the Drow (and these other new edits) look amazing! Glad to see Planar Ally summons get some love, since as far as I've seen the only other mod that alters them just turns them into hot chicks.

Would you guys be interested in a utility mod that has all the RR color presets saved and sorted by RACE>Hair/Skin/Eyes so you could make your own RR-themed mods/patches? I'd have to go through a bunch of character visuals and save their MaterialOverrides as presets, but I wouldn't mind doing it if it'd be helpful.

You'd either add it as a dependency, or just copy the presets over to your mod project and apply on the character.

Cambion Mizora received a full re-design that goes hand in hand with Cambion race rework, plus a brand new customisation system that allows you to build your own version of her.
In fact, she is so customisable, that we had to move her to a separate "REALMS RESTORED: MIZORA" mod that you can check out here. What you will get in that mod:
  • Human skin was changed to a Tiefling one, to maintain Cambion ridges, spikes and improve on the overall devil-like appearance
  • Multiple outfits that look less like "normal human" fashion, and more in line with overall "alternative fashion" of their earler concept art
  • Added forehead roots for horns
  • Human form for Mizora updated to look like a noble lady, matching current aesthetic of nobles present at Wyrm's Rock Fortress [PRESENT IN AESTHETICS]
  • Eyelashes and eyebrows colours better match hair colour
  • You may create your own Mizora from the current selection of:
    • 4 outfit options
    • 7 outfit colour options
    • 5 skin colour options
    • 6 hair colour options
    • 6 hair style options
    • 1 option to add classic hair on top
    • 8 bangs style options
    • 2 permanent fringe style options
    • 4 eye style options

Basic RR Aesthetics Cambion Mizora comes with less upgrades:
  • Human skin was changed to a Tiefling one, to maintain Cambion ridges, spikes and improve on the overall 'devil-like' appearance
  • Added forehead roots for horns
  • Human form for Mizora updated to look like a noble lady, matching current aesthetic of nobles present at Wyrm's Rock Fortress
  • Eyelashes and eyebrows colours better match hair colour
  • Eye glow slightly increased to match vibrancy of other Cambions

  • Act 1 - Nautiloid : The prologue area finally gets a Realms Restored pass, with background characters, stand-ins, and corpses all brought in line with the rest of the game
    • Losiir, the stand-in character used in place of Lae'zel when she's played as an Origin, given a visual update and no longer has pink hair
    • 2 Absolute Cultists updated
    • 4 Dead NPCs were made to look, well, dead

  • Act 3 - House of Hope : Raphael's infernal estate has been overhauled top to bottom ─ debtors, their ghosts, petrified victims, and Haarlep's various forms all received visual updates, with a handful of gender swaps rolled into existing add-ons. All debtors received a personalised update supporting their dialogue / story, e.g if an NPC is scratching his skin to try and get out "rats that are crawling inside him", then he is visibly scratched and bruised.
    • Nubaldin race swapped, Archivist received an aesthetics update and was not moved to Undeviled Tieflings, if anything, he is more deviled now

─ Race-Specific Updates: CAMBIONS

Cambions no longer look like simple humans with horns attached. They were given a comprehensive race rework to make them feel genuinely demonic across the board and like a different, unique RACE and not a copypasta of each other drenched in inappropriate colours. The overhaul carries through to every Cambion in the game, including Mizora and her Sisters, the House of Hope Raphael's cambions, the Nautiloid prologue, and the Cambion Planar Ally summon. Featuring:
  • Scales on the skin for some
  • Red skin in different hues
  • Slightly different looking wings
  • Dark and red-leaning hair colours
  • Variety of demonic, flaming eyes
  • Variety of horns
  • Variety of clothing that still fits with the Cambion aesthetic, but is not a clear copypasta
  • ALL Female Cambions now use Tiefling skin with ridges and spikes, instead of the smooth Human skin they previously had
  • A total of 14 Cambions updated. 15 with Mizora, who was covered separately in her own mod here

  • Image RR Aesthetics 4.0 is now VIRTUAL TEXTURE FREE
    • Meaning that Mystra's dress, which previously contained VTs, will look slightly different, and with slightly less detail
    • If you oh so desire to have Mystra's dress back in full VT glory, you can just download this MystraDressVT patch, that will return all the detail of the dress
