Chris' version completely removes him. Use my/Alberts' Minimalist version. You lose out on items to trade (steal in my case) if you remove him altogether. Hurts my head losing stuff.

Disclaimer: I haven't played the game. I'd say if it's presented as villainous, just remove the gay part; some amount of petty villainy (without poz) is probably acceptable. If it's not presented as villainous, perhaps you could change it so that it is or remove that element altogether.

it's so crazy how removing forced gay interactions fixes the entire ******* atmosphere. you'd think me, a person who supports good ol' lgb, wouldn't mind the amount of homosexuality in the game, but it's the ******* opposite. the devs really keep thinking of the customer as some dumb blind ***** that's thankful for another turd for breakfast, as if nobody can tell all these cringe "my ultra lesbian wife uwu" dialogues at every corner were crammed under the threat of getting canceled by 13yo thots on tumblr capital punishment.

Good choice! I had to replay parts cuz quests got bugged out if u did em in wrong order. They fixed that since though.

Only 45 lines have been changed so far. If its just the subtitle that needs translating, hopefully someone will come along and volunteer to do so. Someone already signed up to do French.
Regarding beard, removing beard is so easy, we can just have a non bearded version. Play whichever you prefer. He's not gonna be male strong bodytype. Would require extra work.

Also I think there was some kind of mention that the party members are all playersexual anyway regardless of whether you're playing as a guy or girl. So it's not like Astarion's victim #123 has any overt plot relevance.
This section of the game really annoyed me though.

I think the writers are bad at math because 7000 people are a lot. And 7000 vampires even more so. Killing them is unethical, keeping them sealed is cruel and unethical but releasing them is potentially dangerous. I really hope Astarions "siblings" can keep them under control in the underdark.

I've actually started my Durge playthrough. (I don't like coming up with custom characters so I'll keep him a male albino dragonborn.) How is Astarion's romance content? I'm wavering between trying his or sticking with Shadowheart but I played with her as a focus already.
He's a pretty good "contradiction" character. And will definitely surprise you in a good way. I thought him to be some shallow pansexual poster boy. He's not. There's enough depth to keep you entertained and his actions early game is explained well later. Definitely my no.2 fav competing with Gale. Emperor is by far my fav. The male guardian voice is such a honey pot. I'll turn squidman back to my custom human form permanently in my next playthrough. I feel sorry for ya'll men. Tis a trap!

It is an in a vacuum I wouldn't object to it. The problem is that there are supposedly 7000 people imprisoned there and yet we stumble across the one Astarion seduced. I get that they're trying to make use feel pity for the spawn to make the decision what to do with them harder. I just think that the fact that there are kids imprisoned in the cells would make a better appeal to emotion than Astarion's not-even-one-night-stand from around a century ago. It's just so tone deaf.

I have yet to aquire the game, as any game that features a scholar on the front cover naturally makes me apprehensive about even playing the game, let alone purchasing it. Based on the existence of your efforts and better aethetics mod, it appears my concerns are not unfounded.
. The NPCs always look at who they are speaking to. And they do some weird owl movement for this sometimes.
