Guild Wars Reforged
Thanks for your input, guys. I found a nice summary of the classes on the wiki, too. I think I'm going to pick one of Mesmer, Necromancer, or Ritualist; if Ritualist, I'll obviously have to start with Factions, but otherwise I'll probably just start with Prophecies and do things in release order unless I decide I really need those Hero guys. I'm too tired to start now anyway, so I'll sleep on it. I also see people saying that you have to level multiple classes to unlock various skills, so I guess my initial choice doesn't matter that much if I get really into it.

Adventurer's Guild
Gotta say I started playing a Warrior but I always get annoyed at the part where you have to pick a second class, unless that is optional?

I've reached the final boss of character creation: picking a name...
I think it's great that it enforces having at least one space, encouraging a full first and last name. I wonder how much nudges like contribute to making players choose RP-friendly names. It'd be nice if it also showed a list of campaign-typical names for those who want to blend with the lore.

Of the classes you mentioned, I suggest Necro.
Mesmer is a bit **** in PvE, at least for a new player, and Ritualist is boring, imo.
Necro is quite versatile, and all of the styles are fun and feel satisfying from the beginning.

I was today year old when I finally understood what Guild Wars 1's end game is.
