Reccomend me a good PC gaming controller.
Depends on what you play usually. If you are into racing and don't want to throw big bucks for a steering wheel you could get something like this. I'm actually waiting for this one

Never seen this tbh. This whole time I've been wondering why Maidenhaver is openly a mega alcoholic and no one gives him ****, but I smoke less than a gram a day and everyone is acting like I'm smoking crack.
For the record for anyone who thinks different of me: I've been smoking it for 26 years. Hasn't ruined my life or gotten in the way of anything I ever wanted or needed to do. I work 40+ hours a week and do everything I'm supposed to be doing. I think weed culture is annoying and I hate the "dude, weed" people. I'm just a normal guy who likes computers, RPGs, and having a relaxing smoke after work. I don't even smoke that much these days. There are in fact normal people who smoke weed, though I'll admit that I haven't encountered many. The other people I see at the dispensary are a bunch of low IQ wiggers and that's half the reason I buy online now.

What? People do for sure! But he's also unfortunately a bit of a lost cause who just gets angry when people say anything about it.GhostCow wrote: ↑ March 10th, 2026, 02:18Never seen this tbh. I'm not mad about you guys bringing it up, I just don't want you to think that I've suddenly become ******** or that I'm some character from Half Baked. I'm the same guy I've always been and I don't fit into any of the dumb stereotypes about people who smoke weed. I'm still the same nerdy dude.Acrux wrote: ↑ March 10th, 2026, 02:40What? A few months ago, my prior wired Xbox PC controller began suffering severe stick drift, so I ordered this model. I have no complaints. This one uses "Hall Effect" thumbsticks, which use magnets to detect movement instead of contact with the thumbstick. So theoretically, stick drift shouldn't happen.

My Thrustmaster PS1/PC controller from 2004 is still the best. I refuse to let it die.

A mouse and keyboard. Controllers are for *******.

I have a GameSir controller https://gamesir.com/collections/all-pro ... descending

My fav controllers are PS2 controllers (wired, if unwired even exist).

EasySMX makes xbox-style controllers that work very well. But I've also heard good things about Gamesir.
Gamesir actually props up its gamecontroller business by making the (reportedly) best Windows gaming emulator for Android: https://gamehub.gamesir.com/

I have never heard of this company before. Checked your link and some of their gamepads sound even better than what 8bitdo offers. I will be very tempted to buy a couple.Maledict wrote: ↑ March 11th, 2026, 13:34I have a GameSir controller https://gamesir.com/collections/all-pro ... descending

I use a dualshock 4, used to have a 3, honestly just pick whatever fits your hands. Thought my advice is not very good, I'm the guy who plays smash with a ps1 controller
Used to have a logitech something something (I forgot). Sucked ***, **** had square joysticks or some crap, but it was durable... and economic too.
I do recommend one if you're gonna play MGS4 in rpcs3, though I haven't tried anything else besides those.
Steam Overlay works perfectly, just keep steam open.

Looks very good but I'd rather save for the wheel, nothing can beat that feeling.DonBurro wrote: ↑ March 10th, 2026, 02:16Depends on what you play usually. I agree, it's WAY too big and clunky, I admit I like the gimmicks but it's not as impressive as wireless or the dualshock itself, **** was crazy. Afaik the triggers are pretty good for pressure sensitive games if you're emulating and they're supported, but who tf uses that besides like 4 games at best?

I have this one and I really like it, specially the back buttons so you don't have to press the sticks for the R3/L3 inputs. So far, it has been my favorite.Val the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ March 10th, 2026, 08:01A few months ago, my prior wired Xbox PC controller began suffering severe stick drift, so I ordered this model. You're not understandling Heckler Logic, then. You are being heckled because you're YOU, not because of anything else you do. Everything you do is simply ammunition for heckling.GhostCow wrote: ↑ March 10th, 2026, 02:18Never seen this tbh. Also, alcoholics are losers. Be a DRUNK, not an alcoholic. Drunks don't have to go to those MEETINGS.
I guess is not a bug, its a feature, so you have to keep buying new controllers every year due to awful stick drift on the console originals.jdcp wrote: ↑ March 12th, 2026, 05:09What are they waiting to turn this into an industry standard?Cipher wrote: ↑ March 12th, 2026, 05:06specially the back buttons so you don't have to press the sticks for the R3/L3 inputs. My kids got me some broken controllers out of a dumpster somewhere for free, but while I could physically restore them to some degree of functionality, I still don't have any idea how to actually USE one and do not understand what kind of person would have designed them this way as it is impossible to both hold the controller AND operate all of the controls at the same time.
Like, the ones in the picture have three stick/pad things, a bunch of buttons, and some kind of handle-like protrusions, but if you were to hold them that way, you would have no way to put your fingers on the actual buttons or knobs, leaving them only useful for flinging the controller like a Batarang. I'm not sure why you'd optimze a controller for rage-throwing.

You're supposed to hit the buttons with your thumbs like on a phone. It's awful.Norfleet wrote: ↑ March 12th, 2026, 07:47My kids got me some broken controllers out of a dumpster somewhere for free, but while I could physically restore them to some degree of functionality, I still don't have any idea how to actually USE one and do not understand what kind of person would have designed them this way as it is impossible to both hold the controller AND operate all of the controls at the same time.

I only have two thumbs, though, and there at least 4 different sets of controls. How many thumbs do you people have? Keyboard+Mouse is CLEARLY SUPERIOR, with a single hand on a keyboard being able to simultaneously manipulate several different sets of controls. For instance, how the **** would you quickscope on a controller, when you only have one thumb with which to hit the buttons with? The moment you move your thumb off the scope button to fire, you lose your scope bonus. How would you manage to aim, walk, and shoot at the same time? Awful. Hell, how would you even play a fighting game in this setup, when you only have one thumb free to push the various attack buttons? In the old arcade controls, you could operate the stick and mash the buttons with the fingers on your other hand, but how the **** are you supposed to do that HERE? At least the old Nintendo controllers let you kinda wrap your hand over the top and push the buttons that way. This, you can't even do because that stick-handle ends up jabbing into your wrist if you try, if you even can.Stack of Turtles wrote: ↑ March 12th, 2026, 07:48You're supposed to hit the buttons with your thumbs like on a phone. 8BitDo Ultimate 2 controller, I've been using it for about 4 weeks and I have helldivers 2 macros on the extra buttons.
Controllers are for lazy people who play while lying on a couch or something not for the folk who prefer functionality.Norfleet wrote: ↑ March 12th, 2026, 07:54I only have two thumbs, though, and there at least 4 different sets of controls. Imho smoking weed is fine. It seems healthier than drinking alcohol. Never really hear people claiming how alcohol helped their pain and made their lives better, yet people say weed has helped them all the time.BobT wrote: ↑ March 10th, 2026, 02:06Being a complete drunkard is just as degenerate, regardless of the legality.GhostCow wrote: ↑ March 10th, 2026, 01:55You guys gotta get over the weed thing. That's because drinking alcohol is considered "normal" and thus its benefits are baseline. So nobody is talking about the benefits like "alcohol kept me from ******** myself to death from dysentery!". Everyone just considers that part to be normal, and those who shat themselves to death aren't around to contradict them. So there you go. Alcohol kept me from ******** myself to death from dysentery. Don't drink water, water is nasty.DecadeRiptide wrote: ↑ March 12th, 2026, 09:11Never really hear people claiming how alcohol helped their pain and made their lives better, yet people say weed has helped them all the time.
Idk. Weed helps people with pain and also stress and "anxiety" and stuff, and i don't think it has any drawbacks? Where as alcohol can help people in ways but it can also seriously **** them up at the same time really easilyNorfleet wrote: ↑ March 12th, 2026, 09:43That's because drinking alcohol is considered "normal" and thus its benefits are baseline. Console games just don't have features like that that take pressing more than one button at a time at all, except for rare cases with the actual finger buttons on the back. They're simplified games for lazy *******.Norfleet wrote: ↑ March 12th, 2026, 07:54I only have two thumbs, though, and there at least 4 different sets of controls. How many thumbs do you people have?
