Hello everyone! We’d like to take a moment to address something many of you have pointed out. Earlier in development, we mentioned that the game would feature six romance options. As the game evolved, certain directions naturally made more sense than others and that number changed - the final release will include four romance paths.

That said, rest assured, our focus has always been and will always be toward making each relationship with the companions feel impactful, fully fleshed out and meaningful. Even though Fausta and Till are no longer romanceable, they remain vital to the story. You’ll still see plenty of them, be able to explore the complex connections that make them who they are and get to know them. They’ll be essential to your journey with many secrets to uncover about them.

We understand this might be disappointing for some players who were looking forward to other possibilities, but we hope you’ll enjoy discovering all the characters and their story in the game.

Owlcat's insanity has mostly been internal or on behalf of IP owners. As far as I can tell just from a casual observance, they do not seem to take their fans opinions into high account. If they did, there wouldn't be endless bugs every single release that persist for months or longer. They play the usual "we value your feedback" when they want it, but it doesn't feel like a Bioware situation where the writers and leads actively personally engaged with the tumblr lunatics. I feel some people forget that a lot of early developers when forums were still a dominant thing online, it was very common for the developers to cause feedback loops in the company as their most active fans were the jobless women and homosexuals, who could afford to harass them daily. David Gayder was infamous for having fed into this.

I even once imported original licensed merch from Japan for an anime I liked (I normally don't watch anime but it was an exception) because I hoped to support it so it wouldn't get discontinued. I think it did get discontinued. People here loved the merch though, but they thought it was from a metal band.
