Don't know anything about this one beyond watching the trailer and looking up the studio and it looks like their first game, I'm going to keep an eye on it though it looks like a less dogshit and more masculine version of Avowed/Skyrim clone

Writing is awful, and what the **** is up with this recent obsession of having a voice in the players head or something as close to that? It's ******* lazy. They can't come up with a good narrative or interactions with other characters, so they go the lazy route and have an npc spouting nonsense in your ear and having the player character rebound off of it. This trope needs to end asap.
The talking rat companion with an old raspy voice is interesting.
Also I can't confirm and maybe I'm just a ****** but it doesn't look like UE5 which gave it free points in my book

Videogames have almost always have had companions or mission control relaying plot information to you, since the early days. Ace Combat, Mechwarrior, Splinter Cell, Metal Gear Solid, etc, have mission control in your ear. Thief 1 and 2 had the protagonist talking to himself about things that were happening or what the next step was. Zelda had Fi and Midna and the boat, etc.
THQ Nordic
It's going to have gay black women in it. You can quote me on that.

combat/items look pretty good with 8 ring slots 1 jewel 2 armor pieces. Just a shame its xp based progression not training based like in skyrim. Hopefully its not as linear a game like lords of the fallen was.
"I don't care what they tell you in College of Winterhold, Tiber Septim was a Redguard.”
You're misleading my point and confusing it with something else. When the rat speaks later on, it's as if Johnny Silverhand is in your head, or Forsaken's armband, or the plethora of other similar minded voice-in-head or things of late. And they're always poorly written and grating characters, or serve to help digest plot instead of allowing the player to come to these conclusions themselves. This rat is not HQ back at base relaying information, it's a forced upon you devil on your shoulder that has the voice acting to match its annoying existence.Val the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ November 20th, 2025, 22:09???

Wait, this game also will have a REannu Keeves in your head? It is annoying. Is EVERY 1st person game with ****** protagonist now?
This is the YT Anouncement Trailer from 3 months ago. It shows more gameplay footage. I'm not sure why it is age restricted, but here you go.

The ornate designs etched/modelled into the assets is neat.

Meh, doesn't bother me to be honest. This format can still achieve a good result. The issue is with these types of deliveries is content and execution.ThulsaDoomer wrote: ↑ November 20th, 2025, 22:04Writing is awful, and what the **** is up with this recent obsession of having a voice in the players head or something as close to that? From what I can find, and the video, it looks like a UE5 slopsouls action adventure.
It's a non-linear level based action game with a fantasy setting and W3 style rollslop combat - and it has Forspoken's bracelet rat to keep you company.
It's certainly not an RPG.

looks way too detailed and sharp to be real footage from a normal pc.

You think devs pump out promotional footage on "normal" PCs?Vaako wrote: ↑ May 21st, 2026, 19:55looks way too detailed and sharp to be real footage from a normal pc.

I'm not a fan of devs just copying PoE skilltrees either, but how else would you organize the exorbitant amount of skills shown here? Submenus?
By the way, Saros did the million perks thing but without PoE's circular design so it's actually just a ridiculously long tree that's a pain to navigate
Or are you talking about the existence of those boring minor skills? I could go without them, but I also don't mind them as long as there's interesting skills mixed in as well

I can't believe real people actually bought, downloaded and played Saros expecting a good game.

Dunno if the game has attributes or not but all these tiny % or static value skills could be rolled into attributes. I'd actually say Tainted Grail did a better version of what they're trying to do even if it's still kind of lame.Valter wrote: ↑ May 22nd, 2026, 16:34I'm not a fan of devs just copying PoE skilltrees either, but how else would you organize the exorbitant amount of skills shown here? Fatekeeper just came out in Early Access. It has 2 hours of content and when it is done with Early Access it will be 15 hours of gameplay. Costs 7,99 right now because of a %20 sale and will be 9,99 without. Pretty nice price for a 15 hour game tbh
