@gerey wrong thread
I found out too late, but it's fine, the important thing is that it's funny.

And technically it is tangentially related, but if a mod wants to move the posts to the appropriate thread, I won't object.

That will be $80 on top of the $450 you just paid for your brand new super portable system:

I'm torn between "Nintendo is based for not chasing the graphics fad, videogames already looked good back in 2015" and "this game looks like it came out during the xbox360-ps3 era"

It does look a lackluster. I don't want Call of Duty or Witcher visual fidelity but you can make a stylized game that looks really nice.

This looks eerily similar to Halo 4.

If they clean it up to not look like a mobile game I think it got the aesthetic right.

The real question here is who is to blame for this state of affairs?

The ***** that coded the game, the ***** that coded the drivers, or the ***** that coded the raytracing?

Switch 2 is more or less the equivalent to a PS4 so they could push those graphix a little more, they'll get there in a few years probably.

Oh I see they were targeting 60 fps minimum, so those graphics make perfect sense. That's what it takes.

So the only way they can get the game to run at a civilized framrate is to make it look a Gamecube title?

Most game developers now are mobile game developers.
They get experience making app store slop and eventually get hired elsewhere because of their "skills".
And people wonder why games are technically deficient and have zero optimization.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.

Take a look at a gamecube title again, specifically Metroid Prime 1 and 2. Much lower poly count, lower res textures. This is also a step up above Metroid Prime 3 which was a Wii title.

Well, it has been in development since then. But if given the choice between framerate and polygons, I choose frames.

The problem is it requires a new console that just released, I think

Not accurate, it's a Switch game that also has a Switch 2 port. Switch version also runs at 60.

All the footage I've seen of Battlefield 6 looks very similar to Battlefield 4, despite the 12 year time gap and the hardware requirements being 10x higher no doubt.

this wouldn't be an issue if they actually had cool things instead like destructible environments or cool physics

We still don't have the technology to replicate 2009's GeoMod engine :old2:

my minimum level of 3D graphics is basically Quake/System Shock 2-tier for environments and a few years later for characters. Don't really care beyond that!
You can get a lot more done merely with good lighting, colors, etc.,
