Various video game stuff not deserving its own thread
Are they any good?
Is the guy in the video recommending good ones or not?
Would you recommend any?

You never heard of Fighting Fantasy books? They were quite famous.
There is this series that is supposedly pretty good. I bought them but never got to play them...

Now that you mention it, they do ring a bell but I guess I just never paid them much attention.

I'd play the **** out of a Max Fleischer style blobber.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ October 28th, 2025, 12:1490% of japanese games being anime style is so silly yet nobody questions it
imagine if 90% of american games had the artstyle of Cuphead or Bendy and the Ink Machine
the ******** *** continent on the left is fake, gay, and not canon btw, you can ignore that. just stick to the stuff on the right

Also, why is a ******* robot gay? LMFAO
He sees malicious intent, I just see gays being **** and their wealthy allies who want to be good people and support them.
This means the same thing.

GDP was, at one point, a valid metric for assessing a country's economic activity, but when a metric becomes a target, it loses its validity as a metric. People since then have come up with incredibly gay ways to inflate GDP numbers, which do not represent real economic activity. The result is that we have since then structured our economy around two people paying each other eat a bucket of ****. Nothing of value has been produced as a result of this, but the GDP has gone up!wndrbr wrote: ↑ November 9th, 2025, 01:03Apparently Jonathan Blow is now a chud. The levels are corridors from start to finish.Nemesis wrote: ↑ November 6th, 2025, 15:09The minimap helps with orientation within the levels. There are some that branch off into multiple paths, and, sometimes, it's a little difficult to backtrack. It works really well in games designed for it.DecadeRiptide wrote: ↑ November 9th, 2025, 12:49One trend I really hate in many recent games is giving the character limitless traversal skills. The best example I can think of is the Just Cause series.
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.
If you can.

the levels are indeed corridors, but sometimes they branch. And you never know if the branch you took will lead you to a boss, a dead end with loot, or a point of no return. It was pretty annoying.fork wrote: ↑ November 9th, 2025, 19:29The levels are corridors from start to finish.Nemesis wrote: ↑ November 6th, 2025, 15:09The minimap helps with orientation within the levels. And unfortunately it's almost non-existent in Clair Obscur.
There is zero need for a map of any kind.
Dark Souls profits from not having a map, and that game has actual level design.
