Shenmue is aryan
You play as a Japanese man who goes to China. It's about as "Aryan" as your average Somalian.

Reminds me of the 2008 Alone in the Dark reboot that had a bunch of immysimmy elements for no reason. Why can you look in the glove compartment? Who cares, you should be able to.

Sure, the game sucked, but it's still remembered for being ambitious.

GTA3 is remembered because children with short attention spans were given it by their parents so they'd shut up in front of the idiotbox

If I couldn't inspect the napkins on the coffee table I wouldn't have Ryo buy a soda when I figure he's thirsty and I wouldn't occasionally buy different flavors to shake things up for him. Immersion compounds on itself :wise:

The only GTA I ever played was San Andreas with my brother, and even when I was younger, I never understood the appeal.

Why would anyone want to play as a criminal hood thug wandering around aimlessly doing random activities? I get that the novelty of a huge sandbox environment on consoles in the early 2000s must have been mind blowing at the time. But once that wore off, I don’t see why you'd waste your time on it, when different franchises later did the formula better.

What really bothers m, is how common outsourcing has become in the industry.

There’s this game called Captain Blood, a cancelled GOW clone that was supposed to come out during the late PS2/early Xbox 360 era, but it went through multiple reworks and nearly got scrapped.

It finally got a full release on Steam not too long ago, and judging by the gameplay, it actually looks fun. But it turns out much of the recent work was outsourced to third parties in Malaysia, which is a bit disappointing if you ask me.

When did this practice even start? And will we ever see studios shift away from these cheap 3D asset farms in Southeast Asia?

Truly a mystery why people would like shooting things and doing activities in a video game

I wonder if the studio is scrambling to readjust/downplay certain elements of the game in light of the recent American social atmosphere and a certain talk show being taken down.

A lot of stuff in the original games could be inspected, even if all it said was "Nothing here..." the devs realized that the player would check anything that looked like it might hold something. which is kind of the point in those games.

Hi everyone,

Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026.

We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.

Those shark cards really messed up that company's executive priorities, huh?
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

I would assume they are rewriting chunks of it too.

Florida / Miami setting -- they almost certainly had some libtard fantasy Mar-a-Lago raid in it.

I wouldn't count on it. They are too invested in race/gender communism to stop now and ******* will buy it in the hundreds of thousands anyway because it's GTA. Look at the success of RDR2 and that game is written like a millennial feminist gender studies grad wrote it. We deserve what we tolerate.

The game looks woke as hell idk why anyone would want to play it. It's going to be disgusting and the gameplay is going to be terrible. Will be a very bad game. I hope it gets cancelled. You can tell from the trailer it's going to be awful

People have high hopes because GTAV was pretty good. I don't even like most of the series and I enjoyed that one

The first GTA was 330Mb or around 500, depending on where you got it. That being said...

I only ever tried the first one on PS1 when it came out for like... a few minutes before moving on.

The later ones never interested me, but then I never cared for console games much and ******/thug pop culture never really sat well with me.

I played IV for a bit. In the end I found that taking on the role of a petty, amoral criminal caused me an uncomfortable feeling of emptiness, so I didn't continue.
