I always despised these games. I liked 3 and 4, but the rest sucked. They always forced me to play this liberal wetdream of a serial killing hoodrat piece of **** with a bleeding heart. EVERY gta protagonist plays on the hooker with a heart of gold trope. Not one of them is genuinely criminal or psychotic.

You definitely didn't play GTA V. Trevor is absolutely psychotic. He's probably everything you're looking for and hilarious to boot. V was the best in the series for me. The only other one I liked was San Andreas.

Vice City was real fun on a PS2 and was the right game at the right time. It has not aged as well as I would have wished for, really feels like a PS2 game even on the PC.

I'd love a Vice City 2 just about now — but I know they'd make it woke and degenerate so I'm also happy that there isn't one happening any time soon

Vice City wasn't even good. The only good ones are San Andreas and 5

Vice City was a big leap forward after GTA 3, and while I agree that it might feel a tad outdated nowadays, it's still a the one GTA game that nails the tone.

San Andreas was the beginning of the decline, not in terms of gameplay or scope, but in terms of story. In GTA 3 and Vice City you play what can be, at best, described as the lesser of two (or multiple) evils. In San Andreas you play a whiny, moralizing manchild. San Andreas was the first time Rockstar chickened out, they didn't dare portray CJ as a they did Tommy or Claude, hardened and amoral criminals, so the whole game feels at odds with the story.

One moment you're running down an elderly woman with your car while police is chasing you for mass homicide, the other CJ is whining about the evils of drug peddling. Every protagonist after San Andreas was a variation on this theme, and they got progressively worse as Rockstar doubled down on the low T nihilism as more of their writers started hitting their middle age crisis.

In a totally unexpected turn of events, it appears the ‘leaked’ footage has come from the son of a Rockstar Games employee.

"The evidence to suggest the video has come from someone related to the employee in question is fairly convincing," GTABase said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Again, if this is true it's extremely disappointing that this has occurred so close to the official reveal."

"It's possible that the photo being used as evidence is not the son of the employee, or that the source of this leak is from a third-party attempting to pose as such."

Allegedly the kids dad let his son and friends play the game and one of the kids friends started leaking videos on tiktok and even doing a live stream and Q&A.
