I'm not saying the writing is good, the entire game just feels very inoffensive and people seem to be trying to find ways to be offended that are going to fall flat when the same standard isn't applied to older games that people love which are equally libtarded.
Even a good portion of the female characters look "eh" instead of horrendous now, obviously they got the memo there.

In a world of AC Shadows, they aspired to be something mildly better but still not great. It's not the best choice, it's Spacer's Auntie's Choice!

They're still getting shut down when the next round of layoffs starts.

At least with a dogshit product, people talk about it. People are still making fun of Veilguard, nobody is talking about Outer Worlds 2, just like nobody was talking about Avowed.

I don't think the market is so desperate for cRPGs to make OW2 a success.

It's less woke than fnv
They made sure the Moon Man mascot who was plastered all over the first game is a sub to the jewy looking Auntie. There's a loading screen of her literally stepping on Moon Man's *** while he cowers like a *****.
Found it.
Image
I wonder if they were worried about Moon Man being memed into his Mac Tonight counterpart and they had to preemptively humiliate him.

He's a good guy so far. Basically under your command and he sees you as somewhat a role model. He does hold you accountable if you deviate from what you told him if you ever do something that feels out of character

She's cute.

Anyway Spacer's Choice was bad. They made shoddy products and the guy they put in the moon mask was depressed and demoralizing everyone who interacted with him. Makes sense that someone more competent would eventually take them over.

As far as GRRRL power goes, TOW2 isn't even close to getting near the worst. The game is egalitarian in an annoying pre-GG libtard way. If you find it offensive, it's because you woke up and realized they boiled your frog *** in the pot, at least half of games are ruined for you now so don't go back and play them.
It's decent enough that I was willing to overlook it, but I can't overlook the bugs.
This is a really good quote for everyone to keep in mind as context when reading any of Rusty's posts where he purports to give his true and honest opinion on how much he hates libtards and they're going in the taffy machine and and and...

Should also serve as a nice copypasta every time he tries to make fun of anyone who says, "game is fun but there's some woke in it."

We'll add this one to his Greatest Hits lineup. I don't think it's anywhere close to his BG3 work, but it should fit nicely next to Starfield.

Tune back in 6 months from now to hear Rusty's real thoughts on the game!

I'll combine some of my opinions I posted on an inferior forum here as one post:

1.
Gameplay is decent. A lot better than first game. This includes exploration, RPG mechanics, and C&C. Lots of interactivity, etc. In my opinion the aesthetics have also improved considerably, but character models are diseased and unappealing. The tone of the writing is a lot more tolerable to me and doesn't make me cringe. Others are having a worse time with it though.

They had a lot of time and enough budget for this game. At some point there was a house on a pier with a locked door I couldn't get into. There was also an NPC who I couldn't get any answers out of due to failing skill check. On the door of the house was a note talking about how the power has been cut and to be able to access the place, you would need to restore it. So I followed the power lines nearby which lead to a power station on top of a hill. A few skill checks and minor exploration here and there and I restored the power and went back to the house which was now unlocked. The power lines also visibly changed to show the flow of electricity as well. The game has been so far consistent with the design of these things.

Most important to me is that there is often multiple ways to solve a problem and that the outcome is not always the same. If you take something like the different ways to unlock a door, some times you can see that whether you pick the lock, find a console to hack it open, or blow it open with explosives, ultimately achieves the same outcome but with a different flavor. However in this game not all doors can be opened with all three skills. Some times they can't be opened with a skill at all and you would have to go restore the power. Others may be openable with one or two skills, but there may also be a hole on the roof, or a secret entrance underground. Some times you can find key cards on NPCs or on a table.

2.
I've been wondering about this. Is TOW really anti-capitalist? Especially TOW 2? This is assuming Obsidian writing is competent enough to have a coherent message which is a step too far, even for someone who thinks the writing in the sequel has improved. From where I'm standing, TOW 2 does not have a political message of any kind. You are caught in a war between a socialist dictatorship and a hypercapitalist conglomerate. Both are portrayed as awful. There is no aggrandizing the socialists over the capitalists. If anything, people in the capitalist faction seem somewhat happier with their lot in life than the "directorate".

---

I've been playing for about 10 hours and will probably continue to finish it unless it takes a massive nosedive. I think the game is a significant improvement over the prequel, even though a few things have been lost as well. In general, I think this game's worst aspect is the writing. Not because it's technically bad, but because it doesn't actually have anything to say.

I can't really attack rusty too much on this one, considering that's something I am also guilty of.

I defended Signalis even though it is a **** game, and have looked past woke **** in other games. It's simply impossible to avoid it completely.

I mean, that's not really saying much when "in recent years" has Yasuke, the gay, negro Samurai doing a BLACKED episode with a member of the Japanese Imperial family and BG3's bearfucking.

EDIT: I still feel like OW2 is a passionless void of midness, and that gypsy-watching would be a better use of my time.

It's not enough to not be woke. In order for a developer to win back the audience they betrayed, they must be anti-woke.

You can kill companions in this too. Sadly not as fun as sacrificing Wyll to Booooallll but still better than not having the option.
