Surprised nobody is complaining about Lasombra and Toreador costing an extra $30.

Every time I checked back on this thread to see what the latest fiasco is I'm floored by the continued poor decision making.
Announcing DLC gated content for this extremely troubled game before it's even out was already a bad look. However, if they at least made them clans that weren't in the first game it might be an easier swallow for people.
Toreador, a popular base game clan from the original game being locked behind DLC is genuinely ********.
It's kind of incredible how they are making the worst possible move at every single step of the process. Just a failed coin flip after failed coin flip. Critical failure after critical failure.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

It's a "the food is bad and the portions are so small" tier complaint.

The original plan was that BL 2 would have been released earlier in the year and then they'd release two DLCs later, one an additional clan to play through (Lasombra obviously) and then a standalone DLC with a unique character (Fabien the thinblood). The delay resulted in a change of plans; they made Fabien a malk and came to the conclusion there was little interest in a walking sim DLC, so they folded that content into the game itself. And since they were now missing an extra clan they had already announced, they tacked on Toreadors to the Lasombra DLC. With the delay it's all getting released at once. They were never going to offer tories for free on account of this reasoning:

It's a bad look to put extra clans in the deluxe edition.
Somehow you've confused yourself into accepting the assertion that the extra clan DLC had to come out for October 2025 and everything else is malleable.

They were always going to do this, even with Hardsuit's version. Selling DLC is what Paradox does. They've crunched the numbers and determined it's worth it.
Right. Is this Paradox's first RPG or what? 'Cause I feel like map gamers are much more used to getting ripped off by immeasurable amounts of DLCRoguey wrote: ↑ August 23rd, 2025, 12:48They were always going to do this, even with Hardsuit's version. Determined it's worth it yet they say that they will not continue any RPG projects nor will they do any more DLCs for Bloodlines 2 other than what was confirmedRoguey wrote: ↑ August 23rd, 2025, 12:48They were always going to do this, even with Hardsuit's version. Why are you complaining about the small portions of a terrible meal?J1M wrote: ↑ August 23rd, 2025, 13:25Why do you like to repeat plainly obvious information as if it is a deep truth?
Trying to squeeze as much as they possibly can from the FOMOs. There won't be any tail to speak of after the first couple of weeks.Finarfin wrote: ↑ August 23rd, 2025, 15:38Determined it's worth it yet they say that they will not continue any RPG projects nor will they do any more DLCs for Bloodlines 2 other than what was confirmed
It's sucks not just because "they're selling content that should have been in the base game for money". But also because the very fact that certain clans can be added to the game so easily, without breaking anything, shows just how insignificant, half-baked, and poorly integrated into the game's mechanics these clans are.
Oh, and yeah, the practice of tacking on more and more content makes the game incredibly unstable. A prime example is The Sims 4. Oh, I have a feeling the White Wolf are going to seriously regret selling the rights to these grifters. This is going to generate a ton of negative publicity for the WoD.

Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.
If you can.
"controlled chaos"
It makes no sense.
I was making an observation about how much the hype had died down. I know you look for any excuse to repost your mass effect DLC infographic, but these canned responses you have aren't as insightful as you think they are. Especially when out of context like today.Roguey wrote: ↑ August 23rd, 2025, 16:30Why are you complaining about the small portions of a terrible meal?J1M wrote: ↑ August 23rd, 2025, 13:25Why do you like to repeat plainly obvious information as if it is a deep truth?

White Wolf was sold to the Excel MMO company and then to Paradox. The owners of WoD are making Bloodlines 2.Trickster wrote: ↑ August 23rd, 2025, 16:34About "clan DLC" situation

What hype? There hasn't been any hype since they fired Mitsoda back in 2020. Dead project walking ever since.J1M wrote: ↑ August 23rd, 2025, 18:50I was making an observation about how much the hype had died down. The environment was so ******* insanely ********... disruptive, unproductive and the employees ******* hated the place and constantly lamented about the lack of organization and function.
Again... large, major corporation. When I say large, I mean ******* huge... like... "THE" leader of its industry...
