To be more specific, it's an update about companion romance and these are the only two screenshots. Every romanceable companion is gay as well.

Naturally, the male romance option is a White, conventionally attractive, blonde, blue-eyed man.

I think Spiders needs the workforce to go on strike again, to really let the creative juices flow and ensure they deliver an even bigger bomb than Veilguard. It's not like they are unaware of what sells - Mars: War Log, Technomancer, Bound by Flame and even the first Greedfall had attractive romance options, so this has to be a very deliberate choice.

I genuinely have to wonder if the leadership is completely oblivious about the marketability of their product, or if they are purposely setting themselves up for failure so the French gubmit can bail them out.

Spiders was acquired by Bigben in 2019. Studios tend to go downhill once this kind of thing happens.

Shame how far they fallen. In all honesty there game Bound by Flame is were they peaked and has been a steady decline since.
